I read a post about this but now I can't seem to find it again lol.. I am on day 8 of BA recovery and I have read and also spoke to my dr's office that sex is possible but w/out raising your blood pressure. I just don't get how that's even remotely possible in the sex act though... any suggestions or info??? I have been told to wait til 2.5 to 3 weeks tops until having sex again and that is too long of a wait for me and my partner!

If anyone can redirect me to a similar post/link regarding this, I'd appreciate it!!

Girl, I was told the same thing...and my hubby and I definitely broke the rule after like 6 days...I am still sore in my right breast (I am only 8 days post op) so sex is a little awkward, but its better than nothing. I would say let him do most of the work, that way your heart rate stays lower. Good luck...

Moonsong, I was told to wait for 2 wks at my post op appt and my dh almost fell out of his chair!! i'm pretty sure that will be very difficult for us. then again, when i think back to when i was put on bed rest due to pre-term labor, we did what we had to do. it's not exactly the same, but it's all about perspective isn't it?? hard to resist sharing your new body with your lover and hard for him to resist wanting to explore it. perhaps you can be creative in other ways that concentrate more on him? idk, just a thought...

i imagine, like Jen St. Charles mentioned, if you let him do the work, you may be able to keep your heart rate down. NotBut i understand your reluctance to go against what your PS says... you don't want to do anything to jeapordize your recovery. Maybe ask your PS if there are other concerns other than your heart rate and take it from there. However, in the spectrum of life, I guess 2 wks isn't the end of the world... especially if it means keeping your body healing well... it will be just that much better when your body's ready!!

We did it at 10 days post-op. I laid back and let him do his thing (for both of us haha) and just kept my breathing relaxed and did my best to not get too excited and worked up. It was great! I had no pain at all...didn't even break a sweat! LOL

HAHA This is a good topic because everyone wonders..I remember thinking OMG how long will I have to wait and there was no way I could go weeks and weeks but I was back in action on day 5!!

Funny thing was I had no pain and didn't really do anything majorly different..just wasn't as ermm rough as normal

To be honest I gotta say with being so aware of them and feeling different changes n aches ect. It was nice to have my mind completely taken off them!

I'm so glad you posted this because I was too shy to ask. I'm afraid of getting a hematoma if I do it too soon because of the blood vessels expanding...

Um... we had sex day 2. I was so drugged I didn't get anything out of it or care but my hubby sure didnt mind!

wow- I must be the oddball. We did it at day 3! I was still under the percocet influence so I didn't really care what happened! Actually, my doctor never said a word to us about that so I just thought all systems go!

Had sex 5 days after.......with sports bra on - LOL!!!! Still with sports bra on...soon I am hoping we will do it without!

My PS never said anything and I was too embarrassed to ask... but my DH and I did it on day 3 - he did all the work and I had my sports bra on. Actually, my DH hasn't really seen my breasts yet because he wants to wait until they are completely healed -weird I know!

I was so scared too. How do you have these nice big boobs and say no?

Any way I was about day 4 it was fine I freaked out after thinking I was going to have something bad happen but so far so good (and good it is). Have fun.

(and I ve been told to wait 3 -4 weeks) & then we just could not stop...it is totally possible if your bf does all the work & you just try to relax and enjoy...however we prefer a more rough version...but I guess we need to postpone that for a while. The only thing that bothered me is that he just could not resist touching my girls) or at least kiss them...but you know how sensitive your nipples are!!! OMG!!! It was painful....

But I would say - you can do it but carefully!!!
