Any accidents?
Has anyone fallen or had some kind of accident after ba? Yesterday the door on the coffee table was open and I didn't see it and I tripped over it and fell forward. I scraped my leg from the knee down on the table and landed sitting against the loveseat. It happened so fast. I feel like it jarred my whole body. I hope that didn't hurt my new boobies!! And I'm just thankful I didn't hit them against the table; I would've been freakin out!!

I don't know if this counts, but....My son flung himself at me at a resturant and landed - 36 pounds of hurled little boy - with his elbow in my boob. It hurt like HELL.
He did the same thing about 15 minutes later and managed to land on the *same* boob with his knee. OUCH!!! I had a little bruising, but it was fine. Little stinker. |

12 days post-op I got into a car accident (a nice March 31, almost end of the season blizzard). It was just me, slippery roads, and I slid around and sideways into the snowbank at the side of the road. I knew it was happening, and I had just enough time to have a very quick internal conversation with myself:
Self: OMG, I'm not going to pull out of this. What do I do? Do I hold the steering wheel? Do I let go? Do I hold onto the boobs? Protect the boobs at all costs....screw the car. I ended up lightly holding the steering wheel for some support, trying like everything NOT to tense up or take any force on the chest. Luckily the car hit "just right" and the impact wasn't too terrible, and the airbag did no got off. I was a bit sore the next day but nothing serious. And, the boobs came through completely unscathed.

I know that is pretty scarey; one day soon after surgery, driving to work it was raining and my vehicle started to hydroplane and it was like I was on ice; it started sliding around and it threw me into the next lane over and luckily I got control before it threw me into oncoming traffic! All I could think was OMG, my new boobs!!

I got into a car accident about 6 weeks post BA. I was a passenger in my friend's car (Toyota 4Runner) which was broad sided. The vehicle took massive damage ( it was a total loss!) as for me who took all the impact, the girls are fine, it's my neck, back, and ear that are still recovering. My PS said not to worry since I'm under the muscle and they are well protected there. hth

I too had a car accident with my first BA. On my way to the one week PO actually. It was a pretty hard impact as the seatbelt was over one of my boobs when we hit. HURT LIKE HELL. but PS checked me out and said I was fine and it shouldn't affect the implant.
I bottomed out, but i dont think that had anything to do with the accident as i bottomed out both sides.

I crashed my mountain bike 9+ weeks ago, landing on my left side, with my left arm up over my head. I broke my shoulder, but my boobs were completely unscathed. In fact, it was probably 2-3 hours after the crash before I even thought to myself, "Oh, man, I could have popped a boob!".

is yours under the muscle also? I wonder if this is what protects us when something like that happens.

Few weeks ago I went to visit my kids and they wanted to go tubing down the Provo River. Gentle tubing turned into white water rafting due to some "extra water realized from the dam" I hit a tree, put a 3" gash in my leg, got flipped from the tube, hit my head on a rock, and a variety of bruises, cuts, and marks on my body. I did take the most "padded" life support devise so I think that 4-5" of foam helped save the girls.

me too!
So glad I found this post... I fell up the stairs 5 days after my BA. I landed on my elbow and slid down the stairs til my arm was right above my head, then landed on my boob! Couldn't believe it - it really hurt but I think I cried with frustration more than pain... the one thing I didn't want to do, I'd been really careful until then.
Anyway, went to bed in a mood but woke up fine and the nurse on the phone said as long as there was no extra swelling I'd be fine... Didn't realise how precious my new ones would be - I was so worried I'd end up wonky! |

hehe yes you have to watch out for the little ones, when I was about 2 weeks PO I picked up my 1 and a half year old daughter and wasnt used to how far the new boobies projected and so I picked her up like I used to and slammed the top of her head into the bottom of my breasts & it KILLED but I laughed at the whole situation

im sooo happy you posted this! im 3 weeks post op and i was playing with my little 3 month baby cousin while she was laying down and she kicked me hard right in my boobs.. it hurt soo bad! even afterward, i still kept playing with her, and everytime she would kick me or hit her head right on them.. i was soo worried about my boobies.. it does feel different now though, they feel really sore and hard.. hopefully the pain will go away soon. thanks everyone! i feel so much better now knowing that everyone has little accidents with their boobies and everything will be fine.
