SOO tired. When did your energy begin to return.
So now that the pain has gone away (it's a vague soreness now- yay!), all I feel is fatigue. I am so weak and exhausted and can hardly get through the day! I return to work on Weds and don't even want to walk 3 blocks and back to put my mail in a mail box at the moment (I live in the city).
I am 11 days out. I know everyone is different, but when did you stop feeling so tired, and begin to feel a bit like your old self?

I think I had the slowest recovery on earth. It took me a full 4 weeks to get all my energy back.

I gained energy bit by bit each day. I went back to work at 1 week PO and I was totally drained by the time I got home. I think after those first couple days back in the real world I had gotten used to it.

I started getting my energy back yesterday (7 days) & feeling pretty much back to normal, but I had overs, and the recovery is a bit quicker.
Make sure you're getting plenty of nourishment. If you don't feel like eating, maybe have protein shakes or lots of fruit. And drink lots of water, I got that tip from one of the ladies on here, & I really feel it has made a difference! Rest if you feel like resting though, your body just may need more. I'm sure after 2 or 3 weeks you'll be fine. |

My BA was on 8/8 so I am just a few days ahead of you in the healing process. I went back to work last Monday and spent the entire day wishing I was at home again. I thought it was getting better throughout the week but by Friday I was a complete zombie. I went to bed early that night and slept most of Saturday and a good bit of Sunday. Those naps were fabulous! Now to convince my boss that napping during the day at work is good for productivity! I am trying not to be too hard on myself and each day really has been a little better. We can get through this together!

I was a little tired for the first week but then started to slowly get back into it... a bit of shopping, housework, gentle walk etc. At about two weeks I feel OK now.
I think the tip for me was to start to become active even if I didn't feel like it and then the energy levels gradually returned. |

Wow, this is an old thread!!!! I'll report that my energy didn't return until around 5-6 weeks. I was really impatient with that whole aspect of recovery.
