Rough Morning

Hey All. So my surgery was Tuesday morning and yesterday they took my bra off at my first checkup and told me no bra for a month (I was looking and healing pretty well). I did a lot that day which I'm sure added to my problem, but I felt like without the support of the bra my chest was under more strain, ecpecially my sternum wich felt like it was being pulled on when I lay down.

Last night was the first night that I actually got a full 7 hours of sleep and I woke up with the WORST morning boob, it made me cry (mind you I had no bra on all night), so I called the PS office and they said its because I'm moving around a lot more and that its better to leave the bra off because it won't help. I also feel like the nurse is pushing me to get off the percocet and switch to motrin and I keep telling her thats the reason my pain isn't excruciating because I tried the motrin yesterday and it didn't help.

I'm so frustrated :-( but at least the pain is less now :-)

You'll want to switch to non-narcotics as soon as you can, but I sure wasn't off them at day 2....yeow!! I think it was more like day 5.

I was in a bra right away so I can't relate to no bra, but I remember morning boob too! Oh the things we go through!!!

Hang in there - it will get better!

Could you try to sleep in a more upright position, propped up by pillows ? I had my BA same day as you and there is no way I could lie down straight.
I am wondering about the bra-less thing, of course you must follow your PS orders but it seems it would be quite painful not to have them securely strapped in. I took my bra off to have a shower today and I had to hold them the entire time, I could not have gone without my bra for very long.
Sorry that you are having a rough time, try to get any and all rest you can.
Rosie

I have been proppd up by a bunch of pillows I guess its just the fact of staying in one position for a long time then moving that is the killer.

And yea I don't kow about the no bra thing but I'm sticking to his orders none-the-less. All of his office girls had theirs done by him too and they all look great so I'll suck it up in the mean time. I doubt I'll last a month though lol!

((hugs)) for you! I'm in the same boat today but I'm making sure to stay on top of the pain meds. What size did you end up choosing? Hope each day gets better for you!

Morning boob does suck! But I promise you it gets better as each day goes by.. you will notice it less and less... try t stay propped up and stay on top of your meds before you need them.. setting your alarm clock to wake up to take them in the middle of the night.. Do not worry, the norm seems to be the few days after surgery tend to be the worst, BUT it gets easier every day after that.. so you are almost there gf!!!! Be Patient and rest up even when you feel great... you want to give your body all the extra energy it can have to heal ya up!!!! I'm thinking about ya gf.. it'll be okay!

Thank you! I have 350s filled to 375 and 415. Right now they are pretty swollen but they are looking like a full C to a small D :-) Hope you're recovering well!

My PS told me no bras for at least 4 weeks, and I really like it! Every time I walk and can feel them it feels like they're falling into place. I keep saying, fall faster! fall faster! lol

But seriously it's not bad.

Hope the pain goes away for you soon! I took Vicadin for the first 3 days and then switched to tylenol. I'm glad it was made available to me for those first days though because it was not comfortable at all!

I sympathize with you. I got mine Tuesday too and was fine for the first few days. I only took Percocet the first night and Tyleon p.r.n. since. Today, I have had the worst morning boob!! The pain is unreal, and I thought I was doing so well.

I hope you feel better soon.

I'm 7 days post-op and my morning boob was so horrible...i believe that was the worse part of my whole recovery process! Every morning I had to run for the pain killers because I was in tears. Like the other ladies said, sleep with pillows under you, it will help with the support. Good Luck
