Driving...
Oh boy, I had to drive home on Day 3 from the b/f's house. I only live 5 mins away from him but I drove at 5 mph because the turns were INSANE for me. I was soo ridiculously stiff. Day 6 I was better and drove to work, scared, but I was fine.
Funny story: at about 3 weeks post-op I was in a parking lot and backed out of my space. I normally always look behind me because I have a truck so the blind spots are larger. Well it felt really uncomfortable to put my arm behind the other chair to help me look back so I used my rear view mirror to guide me. And wouldn't you know it, I backed right into a yellow post!!!! Smashing the living hell out of the corner of my bumper... I was soo annoyed. lol The bumper needed to be repainted anyway... |

I drove on day 5. Had to go back to work. Luckily all of my driving is country roads. It was difficult looking back and turning. I drive a stick shift so that made me sore as well. The last few days that I've been driving have been pretty much like the old me, every once in awhile on a quick turn I can feel a slight tightening but nothing like the first few weeks. Slow and easy

I am not sure if this is strange, but I am a little over 2 months and I drove downtown yesterday (usually walk but bad weather) and it hurt to look over my shoulder...
I had on the bra that is too small-so maybe that is why?! I am just too nervous to buy new ones just yet... |

I was driving 2 days post op but I still can't put the car into 5th gear (11 days post op). I have overs though and perhaps I am wrong in saying this, but I think they make recovery slightly quicker than unders.

I drove a week after my BA. The turns were a little hard, but not too bad.
