What kind of post op meds and vitamins did your PS recommend or prescribe?
I am told to be on Vitamin E 1000mg twice a day for the next year (which is a huge problem for me I have difficulties swallowing pills and Vitamin E only come in capsules), Ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours for 3weeks, and Erythromycin 1 tab daily for 3 months!!
What were your prescribed meds/vitamins? Im just curious, I hate to pump in so many meds into my system, makes me feel paranoid lol... anyone else been prescribed a ton of stuff after surgery??? I was also on a previous antibiotic as well.

My PS prescribed me Percocet, Keflex, and Tylenol 3 (which I never filled). I stopped the percs after 6-7 days and just moved to OTC pain reliever when I felt I needed it.
As far as the Vit e goes, if you really have a hard time w swallowing it why dont you cut it open? Its just liquidy inside - you can mix it into applesauce, pudding, etc . . Happy healing

I had a whole cabinet full of meds!
My doctor gave me a bunch of vitamins to take pre&post op.. 3 vits, 3 times a day.. Post op: Prescribed| Sleeping Pills (didn't fill those) Suppository in case of upset tummy (didn't fill it) Percocet for pain (did fill that!) Antibiotics 1000 IU Vitamin E Singulair (for softeness&CC prevention) Arnica (this really helped with pain!) Singulair is so expensive (103$ w/insurance =[).. I went through three refills and went to my 3 month recheck last week and got prescribed three more months of it for scar tissue in my righty =[. I still am taking my daily vitamins, twice a day.. and vitamin E.. and the singulair. HTH!

Pain meds, and sleeping pills
Vitamin E 800-1000 and also to take a multi-vitamin...... I am wondering about this product..... scar multiplex formula - I have seen it discussed a couple of times but not sure when you are to take it....

PS prescribed Vicodin for the pain (but luckily I never needed to take it - Tylenol did it for me) Valium to relax my muscles and to be able to sleep and antibiotics...
He said no Advil or Ibuprofen at all as it thins yours blood....

My ps told me to take the Vitamin E and Scar Formula Multiplex (4 pellets under the tongue 3x daily) and I also take Vitamin C and a women's Multi-vitamin.
