Sorry that it is such a tough recovery right now. But I will FULLY agree that day 3 was the ABSOLUTE worse. I cried most of the day, felt so bad (pain wise) and even said the dreaded words......I wish I never got my boobs done! After that dreadful day things started going uphill a little every day. I hope things will start to turn the corner for you soon!

Oh my goodness sweet girl! I really feel for you. The third and fourth days for me were the absolute worst. That's when my skin really started to stretch and my back was KILLING me. I'm so sorry about all of the pain from the rest of your surgeries. I promise promise promise you that a couple days from now you'll feel like I different person. Even two days from now you'll be better. Just take it easy day by day and dope yourself up and relax! Lots of love!

And trust me, your boobs look fine, and don't worry about that. Everyone starts out with the snoopy boob or spongebob squareboob. I still have quite a bit of it, but the second day was so funny we took a billion pictures.

Rest. A lot. Your body needs this the most to heal. Take it from a nurse. And if your pain goes over a 7 while you are on your meds, you should call the doc and see what can be done.

I was wondering how you were doing. So so sorry to hear that your recovery is going so badly. As far as the back pain goes I had it real bad too. My nurse suggested that I take in at least 2 yogurts to counter react all the stuff that they put in your IV and to help fight any infections. Try to get your significant other to massage your back in the AM and right before bed. For me the back pain was the worst part of recovery but only lasted about 5 days. I would joke that I had a "boob job" and my back was killing me!! But it will all be worth the pain in the end when you put on your first bathing suit. Don't worry about the appearance of your chest right now. They will change EVERY DAY for at least two weeks. Keep us posted

Just try to get some rest, stay on top of your pain meds and don't forget to ice your boobs down. Ice was my best friend during recovery. Hugs to you. Feel better soon.
I agree completely on the above post! Everything said. Day 3 is horrible and your recovery sounds normal to me. 'It is what it is' for the first 3 weeks, especially for multiple surgeries, then things start to become better. A few months down the road you will be thrilled you got them all done at once and maybe wishing you threw in an extra perk or two even. heehee. I am thinking "why the heck didn't I lipo 'xyz' while I was at it." I am only a few months out and completely forget I even had surgery anymore.

Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!
My best advice: have realistic expectations, communicate clearly about what size you want, and only go with a PS with a fabulous reputation of excellence!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I just noticed you had Dr. Grado do your surgery. I live right by Cedar Rapids as well! I am just curious if you ever met with Dr. Van Raalte at the Iowa Surgery Center in Davenport before you chose Dr. Grado.

I was going to have Dr. Grado do my augmentation, however he doesn't do lifts now. Just curious if you've heard bad things about the Iowa Surgery Center and maybe any reasons why you didn't choose to go to him?

Awww, so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. Just know that things will get better. And don't stress about your boobs. You are sooo early. Mine were horrible the first week or so. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Take Care

Hey, I've been gone for a week, and see you are having a tough recovery. I am so sorry. Did you find some pain meds you could take? I guess they're not helping though. Hang in there- you'll be much better in no time- you're one tough chick to go through all that at once.

Rest up and I hope you're feeling better soon.

I would NEVER allow any of the surgeons here in the qca area do any type of plastic surgery on me! Yes I met with Van Raalte! I hate his bedside manner but some love him! Did you meet with Vander Zee there in CR? When did Grado stop doing lifts? He just did my friends a year ago! I LOVED Grado! My contact info is on my profile.. Contact me using one of those!

Sorry, i'm not an elite member yet so I can't PM you...and I don't have either one of those messengers either. I must be WAY behind the times Do you have any other means for me to contact you? I would love to hear more about why you wouldn't let them do surgery on you...cuz i'm getting mine done Dec 11th with Van Raalte...and now you have me nervous.
