how long to wear the
band across the top? I am 6 days out and have been in the house for as long!
I'd love to go out for a drink without the compression band and just wear a tighter sports bra |

Ask your PS. The band bothered me so much that after a day, he told me I could take it off. They would just take a bit longer to drop.

I have mine on until i see him two wks post op..at which time he will decide if i need to wear it longer or not. I imagine I will since I am still very high and everytime I take it off to let them breathe..my boobs float up even higher..which is a VERY odd feeling! But yet kinda neat! LOL

I'm going to have mine on for longer than I though, even though they weren't extremely high to begin with. I think it's just the way my PS does everyone though. I'm went to my month post-op today, and my nurse said to still wear it as much as I could tolerate it, which is exactly what I do.
What kind of bands does everyone have on here? I have a.... maybe two and a half inch?... white velcro on one side medical dealio... |

6 weeks 24/7 I wore my full version compression...
IMO leave it off for the time you want to go and have a drink Have fun without your strap and have a drink for me! The strap is ugly and itchy?....but dont get lazy and leave it off....dont make this mistake , you may jeopardise your boobies ...and this will cost you more than a drink lol! |

All doctors have different opinions and all patients need different things post op (ie:some are told to wear underwire bras 1 day post op).
Just need to wait and see what your ps says is best for your specific situation. Congrats on your BA

My ps says he only uses the strap if he thinks I'll need it. If I do need he'll send me home with 1 on.

I had to wear mine for 2 weeks.. At my 2 week post op appointment, I was able to stop wearing it. I think the ps makes the decision based on how the implants are dropping, and/or to make them drop into place faster at the beginning.

I wanted to add one thing about wearing the band..I am wearing a very thin cotton shirt and then putting the band on over the top of this..It definitely cuts down on the irritating feeling it gives and also it doesnt itch this way
I also dont notice it on as much like this either
