Sleeping on tummy....

Well I had my 3rd post op visit and I got the GO for everything.... My question is... Did any of you feel like you were going to mess up your implants by say sleeping on your tummy or sleeping without a sports bra? I don't like sleeping with a bra but should I? and or sleep on my tummy? This might be a stupid question....Anyway....
What are your thoughts?

it depends if he told you that you can sleep braless...
I had to wear my sports bra 24/7 til week 8, then it was off !
i couldnt lay on my tummy til like a few weeks ago...omg, it gave me funny jitters laying on them ! but now it feels ok, i realise now even at 8-10 weeks, although soft, they felt like lilo's when i tried to lay on them, and made me feel weak kneed...only take instructions from YOUR ps, noone elses'

I wear a camisole with a shelf bra to bed. I got less morning boob with the extra support without too much support. My ps did not say anything about sleeping on my tummy. I do it once in a while for just a little bit.

What do you mean by streching pockets? I never heard of that.

Nikki told me this once. she was sleeping braless and her inside pocket(you know when the ps do the pocket b4 putting the implants in) got streched a lot and she had to go back in surgery to get them fix. that means if your pocket get strech your implants are more loose inside, they have too much room and when you lie down your boobs will fall to the side.

Yeah that would suck. I think I'll just buy some nice camisoles with shelf bras like June suggested.

Coco ~

We have the same PS. You are days ahead of me. Yesterday was day 26 for me and I got the go ahead to sleep however I felt comfortable. Last night I slept mostly on my back, but tried out side sleeping.

Also, I asked about wearing a bra and he said that I was still pretty high and didn't need the support. I told him I was a teacher and felt weird with my students. He smiled and laughed, "You feel kinda out there." He told me that I could wear camis with a bra shelf or an unsupportive bra. I have been bra-less since day 3.

I am smaller and have less cc then you do so that may be part of the process.

I get to start doing cardio and the ab ball at the gym next Tuesday and I get to get into my Hot-tub next Friday. Most people have to wait 6 weeks and I get 5. I am really excited. Dr. A said that I am healing extremely well and that I am a week ahead of his expecataion. He just smiled from ear to ear at handiwork.

I aslo asked him about scar treatment. He said he doesn't think that I even need to worry about that, but we'll talk about that in 2 weeks when I see him again.

PM or email me if you want to discuss our treatments further.

Wal Mart has a pretty good one. It has the straps that come down between your shoulder blades. I think it is only about $5 or $6.

No bra to bed - sleep on tummy, too

Hi there. I have never worn a bra to bed and tried to wear one after my surgery, to support the new boobs, but I couldn't stand it and took it off within 30 minutes every night.

I have always been a stomach sleeper, and it was tough to get used to sleeping on my sides (with pillows for support), but I couldn't stand even the thought of sleeping on my new girls. I kept trying, though, and by about week 4, I was falling alseep on my stomach every night, again.

Now, I sleep on my sides and stomach. I'm a tosser. I still sleep in a shirt or nightie, no bra.

Coco ~

Sorry for highjacking. Just one quick answer.

My next op is January 24.

Back to the sleep. Does anyone find it more comfortable to lay on one side or the other? I used to sleep on my right side, but that is the boob that is more tender so I try to sleep on my back or on the left.

I've been sleeping on my tummy for almost 7 yrs, and have never thought about messing them up. They look pretty much the same from the moment they dropped and fluffed over 6 yrs ago.

Does sleeping without a bra stretch the pockets?

What are your thoughts?
You should check with your PS just to be sure. I've been sleeping on my stomach for the past 3 weeks and I actually find that it helps with my fluffing.
When I wake up in the morning after sleeping on my stomach my boobs are soft as jello.
