For girls that like to run. . .

How do your implants typically feel when you are running? I'm two months out and went running this morning and they felt very weird! No pain, but I could feel them moving in the pocket. Not like there was anything wrong, but the sensation was sort of creepy! Does this ever go away or is this something I need to get used to? Thanks ladies!

I ran 12 miles on the 30th day after surgery!!! It felt fine, BUT, I wore 'double' bras and made sure they were nice and snug - not too tight, but snug. My girls were held very securely into place. NO BOUNCING.

I would suggest getting some great support for the new girls. Then have fun! It has been 4 months since my surgery and I run approx 5 days per week and have not changed my routine at all. I forgot I have new additions anymore and life is 100% back to normal. Even running up and DOWN mountains with all of the impact, does not make a difference with the right support!!!

I am 7 weeks postop and have started running again. I wear two sports bras, one that is high impact/maximum support and another on top. That way, I have no bounce whatsoever. I thought it would feel very weird once I resumed running but it didn't at all. I think that's due in large part to the fact that I keep them very well supported and they don't bounce. That is so important, even for those who haven't had a BA. I can't tell you how many women I see "flopping" around at the gym and think of all the damage/stretching they are doing to their breasts. Just not good.

Also, it might make some of you feel better to know that even after a 6 week break, I still retained most of my fitness. I was able to run 3-4 miles right away, at only a slightly slower pace. When weight training, I've only had to go down a couple of pounds or one dumbbell size depending on what exercise I'm doing. I feel I am at about 70-80% of my normal fitness level. After taking so much time off, I'm happy with that!

Thank you thank thank you for the encouraging words. Running = my life. So I'd really lose my mind if I couldn't run. I"m so happy you have been able to "bounce" (pun intended) back. I look forward to doing the same.

I started running again at 3 weeks. Just 2 miles or so. But my boobs felt fine with a sports bra on. I don't feel bouncing at all. I also wear a very tight underarmour compression shirt and I think that helps a ton. I'm 9 weeks out and ran 4 1/2 miles the other day. You will be able to resume the running no problem.

I started running at 3 weeks and I had pain and they felt weird. I had a long recovery. They felt weird for at least 6-12 weeks post op.

Hello lovies! What a great post, I was worried about the same before the BA. I'm super OCD with working out and I love my sprints and running. I've been doing brisk walks, but finally did a light jog with super tight sports bras on. A little uncomfortable, so it was a short jog, but glad to get back into the groove.

I look forward in a few weeks to when I can really hit the pavement. You all are very inspirational girlies, thank you!!!

do you gals all double up your bras to run or does it eventually get ok to run with just one with good support? i like to run and cycle and figure in the beginning maybe i'll be doing a bit more cycling, but i have been enjoying running a lot lately and know i'll want to get back to it asap.

I only have one bra on, and they don't seem to bounce much at all. I'm still early so maybe it's because I haven't d&f'd all the way? Plus, I'm not huge. Just a C cup so that might be why.

For those who have partials that almost everyone I guess, I highly recommended to wear a great support bra specially for high impacts workouts and another sport bra over. I'm not a runner hard core but I do ballet and jazz and I jump a lot. The thing with partials is that u don't have any muscle that implants can support. I explained: with partials u have 1\3 of the TOP implant cover by muscle but not the rest of the implants which mean over the time you can have the risk of sagging. My doc highly recommend me always wear wire bra or a good supporting bra. I can see the difference because my very first surgery was complete unders(which I really feel supported and sometimes don't use any bra even for sleep) and my second was over. I hope that help you girls!

One bra, two bras...it just depends on each person's choice and how big you are. I am currently a large C/D cup. And I happen to be one of these paranoid types so that is why I wear 2 sports bras. I am terribly afraid of damaging something, even though my PS said I am clear to do what I want. So, I wear 2 to "lock them down," so to speak. I figure it is always better to be safe than sorry. The bras I wear are very comfortable and wearing 2 is no big deal. Definitely worth the trouble considering it will keep everything where it needs to be.

It took me longer to get out there and run post my 2nd surgery and of course, that was strictly related to the size but I am also recovering from an injury.

I double bra all the time. With my 350's I didn't have to and actually mainly wore the shirts with the snug bras in them. For the first 6 wks I felt I was really pulling on my muscles and had to cut back significantly.

There is nothing worse than women jiggling in their runs. It not only looks unpleasant but it is so damaging to
