Ok girls I know I am only 5 days or so post op but seriously..shouldnt I be able to stand up straight by now or put my shoulders upright? Things are entirely TOO tight to do it now and im thinking maybe i went to big and that is why i cant! This is making my back hurt worse and every muscle throughout my body aches not to mention my ribs on the right side feel like they are broke! Esp my right shoulder blade! And when I try to stand up straight..OMG I get sheer pain in my muscles not to mention my boobs BURN and hurt like mad! Is this normal or did I just go to big for what my body can handle? Will I ever stop being so miserable? This is exhausting every bit of me right now! On top of this all I have thrush/yeast in my mouth from the antibiotics and am now on MORE meds! Not to mention anything I put in my mouth burns like heck so I am barely eating anything! I feel like such a pooper but I am seriously having one really really bad day!

I've been there! I didn't feel like I could stand up real straight, like shoulders back, for about 2 weeks! Don't worry, you're still so early in the healing stage, everything is soooo tight still. I worried that it wouldn't change, but each day/week brought pleasant changes. Hang in there, this really is the hard part, and lots of oh-so-good stuffs to come !!

Too early to tell, my dear. I couldn't put my shoulders all the way back for at least a couple of weeks, and even putting them back a little bit at first made my boobs feel super tight!

no way! too big is never the problem haha! seriously, I'm sorry you're in pain but I would say it's pretty normal and not because you went too big. I had a lot of tightness also and I walked around hunched over with my shoulders rolled forward for awhile, and that will make your neck and back hurt. I tried having someone gently rub my neck and back, but that ended up hurting too. Perhaps you could try laying down on a heating pad to relax the muscles? It will get better but it just takes time for your skin and muscles to stretch. Hang in there! This is the hardest part, and you will be so happy once it has passed!

Its normal so give it a bit more time and you will feel a difference. It really is a waiting game with boobs so chin up , shoulders down (for now!) and I hope things pick up for you soon.

Just sit back and relax!!! That's all you can do right now. Correcting your posture will take some time. Don't even try flexing those muscles! It will just hurt and ache. Rest in bed and don't overdo anything. Feel better soon! It will get better!

your stats are now much different to mine, well you weigh less but i got 385cc's and now, 5 weeks out im standing straight and relaxing my shoulders. the buring carried on till week 4 but i bought aloe vera after sun spray and that helped heaps. cheer up, it's soooo worth it in the long run.

I was the same way after my original BA, my whole body ached, I couldnt stand up straight, I couldnt get out of bed with help for a while, you tighten all your mucles to use to make up for the ones that you arent using and that causes your body aches, just keep taking your meds, resting and you will be getting better every day

Hang in there, sweetie - you are not supposed to stand up straight yet!
I'm on day 6 and I walk around a whole foot shorter looking than normal! It is just too early. And you really have no business walking around anyway - you should be resting, watching tv, healing and uttering cryptic Pythian (oracle in Delphi) apocalyptic predictions from the depth of your drug filled mind ;-) Keep in mind how much your poor body has been through and how many chemicals are interfering with your normally finely balanced natural being. You are not even you. Give yourself a break and allow your body to regain strength and detoxify, hun. Your body is amazing; just give it a little time. I'm so sorry about the thrush. The meds after BA are such a mixed blessing... Make sure to get some strong probiotics (health food store) to repopulate your stomach and 'fight' the evil bacteria that have taken over (for now). Yeast loves sugar and yeast so try to stay away from those. Live on yoghurt (natural, with live bacteria from the fermentation) if you cannot get anything else down ![]() Take good care of yourself! Sending you truckloads of healing and warm thoughts! ![]() Warmly, Bloom

I had the thrush, too, after my BA! It was awful...I had a harder time with that and the fact that it made my throat very sore, constantly coughing, couldn't taste any of my food, etc. It felt like I burned my tongue from eating something too hot, only it never went away! My PS's nurse told me I probably had a bug, but the next day I saw my tongue was all white and I knew it was thrush! So I went on some 3 day treatment of pills and got better
It will get better, I promise!!!

It's normal. My back, shoulders and neck were in agony from sleeping in a different position and just the way you move differently. You should have seen the way I walked out of the hospital! My arms were all tensed up and my shoulders were up and I was slightly hunched. My fiancee was like put your arms down and I was saying I can't! You will be able to sit up straight again and move around properly and guess what? You will have awesome boobs. Try rinsing your mouth after taking the meds if they have given thrush in the mouth. I've never heard of that before from taking pills. I know that you can get it from certain types of athsma inhalers so you have to rinse really well after using them

Uggggg...doesn't the back pain suck? With 350 cc's I didn't expect back pain, but alas, it is here. Thankfully it IS getting better. I'm off pain meds but find the Valium very helpful for the back issues. Also, I am FORCING myself to stand up straight. I went for a 3/4 mile walk today and it actually helped me gain my sense of gravity back. Tomorrow 1 full mile. Getting better!
Don't forget we are on the same day, so we are on this roller coaster together. I feel your pain... literally!

Also get DIFLUCAN for your thrush right away! Call your PS and request TWO doses. Seriously.
