I see it all over the site but am not sure what that really means... is that like a uni-boob?

lol. Frankenboob is when you first get your implants and they sit high on your chest and look very square and bizarre. Not everyone gets it,some are lucky. Me? I had the worst frankenboob, or as some say.... spongebob squareboobs. hehe

angelblue described it perfect. I didn't think mine were ever going to look normal. They were up to my collar bone almost.

I understand that it is from the implant being placed under the muscle and the muscle sort of goes into a charlie horse spasm which pulls the implant slightly higher in the pocket. Serum fluid develops in the space under the muscle. The serum is eventually absorbed, then lessens the upper pole fullness.

I thought I was the only one who said this ha ha ha ha!!!rotfl!!!!

I called my boobs this the first 2 days after surgery, because its true! Their all whopped up looking

Um sorry to be the bearer of bad news hun but under the muscle usually causes worse frankenboob!!! I got overs and mine (you can check out my album) were very cone shaped for the first week, think madonna cone bra!! but when you get unders you get a boxy shape that can go all the way up to your collar bone, it settles after a week or two though.

For me frankenboob was two torpedoes pointing outward... thank goodness I prepared myself for it. It seemed to settle down within a few days and looks much more normal now - I'm about 3 weeks out.

Thanks guys!! Because of this site I feel VERY educated and am expecting the worst.. so anything better than that is fabulous!

As long as they dont' stay boxy in my collar bone and eventually drop, it will be worth it

what's worse than frankenboob.... unilateral frankenboob! when it only occurs on one side.. and looks like the ugly sister. which is what I had... ffor a good two weeks - JUST starting to catch up in my 3rd week. yikes.

well good luck to ya hun. i got mine 3 days ago and i have frankenboob big time.!!!! they are soo high and they are tight. i massage liike crazy but dont feel they are droppin, but it feels soo good cause its releaving the pressure. i got unders too. my right one is higher than the left one and harder, but thats because i have more saline in that side i do believe. my dr was suprised mine were so high and told me not to wear my bra. he also recommended alot of massage when in pre op he told me i was not allowed to massage unless he told me to, and he did! everyone says it does not last long, and i too hope they are right! good luck to you!

The girls did a good job of explaining it. Just the pec muscles compressing the implants. Mine took quite a while to "drop and fluff"..meaning the process of the pec muscles relaxing to the point that the implants can drop down into the bottom of the pocket and round out.

I have a "drop and fluff" album in my profile if you want to see pix of an extreme example, lol..send me a friends' request (it's set to private).

Instead of being worried I am making myself laugh at all this

Franken boob is what i have

Oddly shaped boobs just after having a BA..sorta squarish..not in perfect form yet

Quite lovely..but ill be happy when i have woman boobs
