Stitches removed today!

Hey ladies,

I just got my permanent stitches removed today. I didn't really feel around the area but when I got home I noticed some hardening underneath of my crease incision. Is this normal? Is it just regular scar tissue?

Yeah I noticed I have some bumpy areas too. I rub merderma on them 3 times a day. Hoping this is normal and will go away.

I have that bumping too. I was told to massage them with cocoa butter and that they will eventually go away

It is most likely internal suitures. they have to dissolve. Don't put anything on them until they are 100% closed and healed on the outside. Don't want an infection gals..

♥cInNaMoN♥ is an unknown quantity at this point
I get this everytime but have noticed that feeling is WAY worse with internal stitches. Be glad you got external stitches that had to be removed (way better and way more accurate. I've had a lot of surgeries and different types of stitches and the scars heal better with the outside stitches.) I belive that the lumpyness or whatever is extra tissue formed by the wound as it's healing. I've been using Mederma religiously 3x day. Research and buy the best product you can afford since you do get what you pay for; though mederma's pricey for a wal-mart product there are more "gourmet" scar creams/oils out there. Good luck!
