I am still swearing by Arnica Montana tablets, (A Boiron product)!!!!

I started 2 days pre op and still am taking them, and not ONE bruise. My boobies are so presentable that my boyfriend (who said he didn't want to see them until they were healed so he didn't get scarred for life), loves to look at them now.

Arnica is always good to have around in case you get hurt, have any kind of bruising or trauma, so you cannot go wrong getting some. I use it all the time for the kids. Someone is always falling or running into something [rolling eyes].
The Bioron homeopathic remedies are often sold in health food stores (Whole Foods), some higher end supermarkets with a good vitamin section and natural pharmacies (such as Pharmaca on the west coast).
Good luck!
Warmly,
Bloom

I had lypo at the same time as my BA and had some bruising for both... my PS suggested Bromelain and also some lymphatic massage for the worse areas. It all cleared up within a week.

I highly recommend it also. I am about 3-4 days post-op. I have been taking the prescribed vitamin-therapy program that includes the Bromelain and Arnica. Including pre-op and post-op supply, it lasts about 30 days. I figured if I am spending $6K on my boobies, I shouldn't fuss about spending $100 on the vitamins. So far, I've not noticed any major bruising and my initial swelling on my sides and stomach has come down a LOT. I am thinking about continuing for a month or 2 afterwards, since your body is still recuperating after surgery for 6 months +, like child birth when my body "caught up" with the "trauma" of child birth 6 months later and my hair thinned... HTH

Per PS instructions i started on the Arnica dissolving tablets 2 days before surgery (5 under the tongue 3x a day) and then they gave me the cream for after surgery... seemed to work really well... i barely had any swelling or bruising and the cream works on all bruises which is great for me (i picked the name "clumsy" for a reason... LOL)... i'm sure what i have left over will be gone in no time

Thank you all so much for this topic. Looks like I'll be off to the health food store at lunch today and start looking for this stuff.

Oops - I forgot to add that I took Arnica dissolving tablets under the tongue - 3 tablets 3 times a day - started the day after surgery and I'll be on it for 7 days to 14 days, at least, and then for the Bromelain I started 3 days before surgery, two pills three times a day, and then still on that for the next 2 weeks... I am using the VITAMEDICA line of vitamins...

I used both for my ba and im using them for my redo. My dr gave me a website to get the healing program. It comes with both, Arnica Montana and Bromelain with Quercetin. I think it helped last time so hopefully it will this time.

Just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your hair. It looks so great!!

On topic: I went to the vitamin store at lunch today to look for these things and have begun to research them on the internet before the purchase. Thanks guys!!

I had a rhinoplasty last March and I used Sinecch, which is Arnica Montana. I also took Bromelain. I found that they greatly reduced my recover time, my PS was amazed at how quickly I healed. I ordered more for my BA coming up, and I would def recommend it! You can also just get homeopathic arnica tablets in a small purple container from a health food store.

I used bromelain and had no bruising and it really helped with the swelling....especially if I take it before going to bed I wake up feeling better.
