I had a bra that was meant for 34 A,B,C cups, and I am a D or DD. It was very tight and really hurt my underarms so much I cried! I made my bf go shopping around town for a D bra and I started feeling much better. I called and asked one of the nurses if this was ok and she said yes.

I had the opposite issue - mine was too loose so I went out and got something tighter. I think the post-op bras for the most part are a joke. I went with a formed-cup sports bra that had a lot of support everywhere and that made a big difference in how I felt.

My post-op bra isn't tight. I holds me snug but not tight. I don't think yr bra should be so tight that it makes you cry. Maybe try one a little looser. If I was that uncomfortable I would. I had my BA/BL on 11/20, I'm sore but not in pain.

My Ps didn't advise me anything about bra.
3 days PO I had to put on a sport bra, and it was great help, bcs before every move hurt but with bra it kept boobies stationary and prevent the pain.
But after 10 days it started to be very painful.I told it to my PS and he said if it hurts don't wear it at all.

Thus now sometimes I wear no bra, sometimes a tight tshirt. Of course if I go to gym I put my sport bra, which is still hurting..

I would definitely switch to a more comfortable fitting bra. Having your breasts overly constricted by too small of a bra is not good for your healing, from what I've been told. My girlfriend who had hers done last year was told she didn't even need to wear a bra. I'm 3 days post-op and am wearing a sports bra that's just about right - not too tight and not too loose. Don't let this stress you - Just try to get an answer from your PS right away! Good luck to you! (btw, being in pain is not helpful to your healing process either - you want to be as comfortable as possible)
