Why do you have to wait for cardio
I hear some of you saying that you cant get your heart rate up for several weeks post op. I understand that you cant traumatize the tissue with bouncing ect... but I dont understand how raising the heart rate so many weeks post would do anything? Anesthesia ect is long gone out of your system...just curious

Although it may not seem like a major issue, it truly is.
Your body needs to concentrate on circulating your blood and nutrients after a major surgery. During exercise, such as cardio, your blood pressure with rise and the blood is focusing on the muscles used for that. Also, higher BP means your blood is running thinner which, as stated earlier, could lead to a high risk of hematoma. Usually a PS will release you a few weeks after surgery and while I'm sure you're missing your exercise, trust me, you need to follow their instructions.
