So, here I am at 12 days post-op and I know from other threads I posted I was freaking out about possibly going too big and somewhat regretting my BA. Yes, emotional rollercoaster...that is me lately. Add hormonal issues to it and BAM! wacked out and then some LOL
Anyway, I went to my aesthetician today and she is one of the only people I've told about my BA.. I was SO self-conscious about my boobs being too big for my small frame and you know what? She looked right at me and said, " You really don't have big boobs. In fact, I would've never guessed you had work done had you not told me." WOW! I was shocked and relieved. I even lifted my sweater to have her take a peek at my new girls in a bra and she again commented, " You look totally proportionate. You are far from huge." I was wearing a B cup which I was busting out of and she was VERY honest with me. I guess it felt good to get another perspective on my new look. You know I think it really does take time to get the mind to wrap around and embrace the body..the NEW body. We see ourselves for so long a certain way that any change sends a shock wave out. I feel a wee bit better today getting another perspective on this whole thing. I am still coming to terms with everything. It will take some time but I feel like today was a step in the right direction as I worried so much that I would be HUGE to everybody else. I think it is a day by day process. I am happy overall with the decision I made to get BA but the change is something I am going to have to embrace slowly.

Congratulations on such a wonderful experience! Once you get passed the speculations and concerns, those experiences happen more and more. I was very distressed with my choice early on, and now I adore my new boobs! They really do become more a part of you over time, and positive reinforcement is so helpful!

My b/f commented last night my boobs looked huge in a new workout top and I said "HOW COULD THEY? THEY ARE ONLY A B!" He said regardless they look big and you can't stop looking at them. I think sometimes we don't see what others see!
congrats!! |
