Post-Op
I went to my PS's office today and had sutures removed. The nurse showed me massages and said I don't have to be back for 3 weeks [my appointment is 1/5/09, due to the holidays]
I was under the assumption that id have to wear that compression strap and all that "fun" stuff but nothing, why? I guess I just feel weird that 1 week out [tomorrow] sutures are removed and I wont be going back until over a month. I guess this may be because things are looking normal and I was advised to call if I had any problems, but I can't help but feel weird. My boobs were never "weird" after, they were swollen and bruised of course but they were never high or deformed and crazy looking like i've always heard lol I guess I got lucky! Mine look like nice, round boobies! Is this why im not gonna be wearing the strap? Im not complaining, because this bra is bad enough lol thanks in advance ladies

Sounds normal to me! Good for you! That means the PS is cool with the progress of the new boobies. Do your massages religiously and if anything causes you concerns, call your PS. Every doc has their own way of PO instructions. So don't worry! MASSAGE and be happy with your new boobies!

I guess I am the different one. I had my 1 week post-op this morning. My PS checked my breasts and incisions (2cm long...yay!!!!) and said everything looks great. Put me in a sports bra, told me to continue icing as often as possible, take 600mg of ibprofen and come back in 1-week to be resized for my sports bra and then, I will be shown massages. I guess every PS is different.

Did it hurt having the sutures removed?
