Trouble Bra Shopping because I don't believe my size.
Ok, I have been bra shopping for days now that I am allowed to wear regular bras a few times/week. One problem I am having is with my mind. I pick up a D or DD bra and immediately put it down thinking it will be too big. It is like I can't get my mind to believe that they are that big.
I have literally left a few stores with nothing just for that fact. Today I forced myself to try on some at VS. The first 2 were 34d's and I could barely get the girls in them. Then, when I picked up DD's, I was thinking- there is no way they are that big! Well, the DD's fit great and I bought them- but it was weird. Anyone else have this "problem"? |

LOL, I had the same problem. When I went to get my first bra post BA at VS, I grabbed a bunch of 34C and was so frustrated that I couldn't squeeze into them. I felt like Cinderella's evil stepsisters with the slipper! I was ready to leave, then my hubby said "why don't you try the Ds?". I gave him a weird look and went back to the fitting room just to prove him wrong. Guess what, the D fit like a glove!!!

hahahahaaaa!!!...YES!...i have the same problem.....when i first went bra shopping, i was like...oh, i'll grab a c, and i couldn't squish the girls in it!!
the lady then brings out a 32D, and i laughed and said that won't fit, and ended up getting a 32DD!....i won't tell anyone (outside of the forum) that i wear that size, because no one would believe me anyway, and they probably wouldn't understand how crazy bra sizing is!!....LOL

Yes i kept shying away from Ds and was squeezing into Cs for a while, b/c i couldnt get my head round the idea that 290s could give me anything bigger than a C...it was my daughter who threw a bunch of her Ds on the bed and made me try them that i discovered Im a D (thanks DD)

I KNOW!! My bf couldnt believe I was a D cup. I even had another measurement at a different store a few months later just to be sure . . . and yea, I came out the same size. I guess many of us have a skewed perception of what Ds and DDs actually look like. And how would we know, most of us were little As and Bs before. |

You ladies all sound like me. I felt like there is no way these are a D. The C definately didnt fit and so I took the Ipex from VS in and they fit great into those big D cups. I was so not excited about carrying those puppies around the store either. I was hiding the tags and folding them up so noone saw the cup size. How ridiculous was that!!!!! I should be proud of them but I guess I'm so used to hiding the A cups it was just habit. I guess I'm old and dont care for others seeing what I wear under my clothes. I guess I'm modest. If I want to be sexy I guess I should order over the net if I dont want everyone in line seeing what I wear underneath.
I can see that young thing standing there |

so what I'm saying is yes its possible to be a dd and be overwhelmed by it...don't focus so much on the letter and focus on the fit because your girls need comfort and support...btw, check out the ipex demi bra from VS..feels like a dream |

I had that when I went shopping for a new bra 1st time after D&F... I'd got used to the fact that I was a DD, and even tho they were tight and I was spilling out of the cups, it didn't register with me that I'd grown... I tried the E's, none felt right, and when the lady came out with an F and suggested I tried it, I laughed! But OMG, if fitted! I still find it hard to believe that little me with my 2 fried eggs is now fitting in F cups!!!

I was exactly the same, in my head I was a 34C max. At 4 weeks I could start wearing bras. I tried on 34C's and they were too small. I thought maybe the shop sizes came up small, so I went to another shop and lo and behold 34C's were too small. It was so strange, I just couldnt get my head round the fact I could be a 34D. My daughter laughed at me and made me try a D, I nearly fainted when it fit lol. I was over the moon though, talk about getting more for your money.
Now at 8 weeks I think im fluffing into a DD cos the D's are getting a bit tight I cant believe it. Im gonna give it a few more weeks before I buy anymore bras though.
