sunbeds?
how long before you ladies went back on a sunbed?
also check out the polls forum...i have put up a post enquiring into your occupation and how long you had off of work. I am a dancer and have had 4 weeks off so far and still not back at work. I know ladies who work in offices who went back after a week. Just curious to see differences. xx |

My PS told me I could tan as soon as I wanted, but put something over my scars. He said if you tan a scar before it heals the it will be discolored. I have been tanning since the beginning of February and I have had no problems. My scars are under my arms so I could even just put a band-aid over them and did not worry about a tan line.

I started tanning a week ago, completely covering scars though, so, yes I have tan lines, but DH prefers tan lines so it works for me!!!!

I'm a big tanner too and need some advice! I prefer the sun, but opt to a bed if I don't have time or the weather sucks. I'm 3 weeks post-op, can I tan the ladies? If so, what should I cover the crease incisions with? Are band aids strong enough coverage? My bikini top is still riding up a bit in the front (they haven't dropped enough yet) so I'd rather just go topless and cover the necessities. Thank you in advance!!!

I just started going back...but you MUST put something on your scars for at least a year--or else they will get very dark and stand out.

My PS told me I could go tanning as soon as I felt I was able to pull the bed top down. He did recomend that I keep the girls covered and the incision covered.. He said that the skin was stretched so far that they would easily burn and if the incision was exposed to sun it would only make it darker and would always show..

I'm curious too, what's the best way to cover them? I just had my steristrips removed today so I'm still getting used to having the incision exposed. I suppose I could do bandaids but that seems like it would really hurt and possibly mess up the incisions when I pull it off.

Apply a little bit of baby oil to the bandaid to remove it. It will pretty much just fall off. Won't hurt a bit.
