Aerobic Exercise
How long was it until your PS cleared you for aerobic exercise? Like running or biking, anything that raises your heartrate? And burns calories? I have my 3rd Post-Op in two days. I'll ask then. But just curious what the rest of you have been told. Thanks!!
Annie p.s. this taking it easy and no exercise is the worst part!! |

Hi Slinky!! I was cleared at 3 1/2 weeks to start exercising with the caveat to take it slowly at first. I will be cleared to ski at 6 weeks.

I will be able to start again at 6 weeks post op which is one more week. I can't believe I have had boobs for 5 weeks already. I still wish they were bigger. I wore a fitted top today and I still don't look like I have big boobs. Maybe once I can wear a real bra I will. I hope so.

Slinky,
even if my ps told me i was clear 6 weeks after, i didn't feel like bouncing my breast. i was still sore and i was not even sleeping on my side because they were too sensible. but i imagine if you put a very good sport bra it shouldn't be too bad. |

Hey Annie. I was cleared to go back to the gym at two weeks. The instructions that my ps gave were to "listen to my body and be smart." No chest work for 3 months. And take the arobics slowly at first. I watched my heart rate and didn't raise it above 110 until 6 weeks. After that I went back to normal.

Slinky ~
I was cleared at 4 weeks for the gym and 5 weeks to get into the hot tub. It has taken me longer than I thought to get back into the gym. I've gone a few times and each week is better. My boobs are fine, but know I have to do a tune up on the rest of the body. It has been fun slacking off. Remember that the gym will still be there, but this is your only chance to heal.

I have to wait until 6 weeks. I have no intention of doing pec exercises....Mainly my pilates machine and light biceps and triceps.
