![]() | Normal to be so tired.
10 days PO and Im so tired I feel like Ive been druged. I nap during the day and go to bed and 8:30. I take it as easy as I can in between considering Im caring for 3-5 kids during that time. But still, I cant believe how tired I am still. I read about you all going and doing things and I have yet to have the energy to do my make up. I just am emotionally spent and want to feel normal again PLUS my boob wont stop squeaking and its pissing me off!

At 3-4 weeks I've been exhausted too. Usually around 2:30 in the afternoon onwards... going to bed early, but still so tired during the day. Maybe the healing takes it out of us?

I'm 2 weeks out tomorrow and am still super tired! I get plenty of sleep and am back to work so I really miss my afternoon nap!! I think surgery takes a lot of of you and everyone heals differently. I really think within a few more weeks things will be back to normal and you'll be feeling great.

Surgery is traumatic for your body and now it's trying to heal....You'll gradually start to regain your energy but right now your healing. Relax and take care of the investments (.)(.) ![]() |

It was a good month before I got my energy back. I had my surgery on a Thursday and went back to work on Monday. I have a desk job so I thought it would be no problem. I was asleep every night by 8:30 and it was a job to stay up that late!!!!!! lol Hang in there, it'll get better soon.

I've had all the same tiredness everyone is talking about as well at 10 days post. Even talking to people on the phone for more than 15 minutes, I find myself taking deep breaths and getting winded VERY quickly. Then I'm ready for a nap! Not too mention I got my first period yesterday since my ba! The cramping has not helped the tummy tuck and for the past 3 days my breasts were swollen like the first day - thought it had something to do with going back to work.... Periods..... UGH! They say sleep is the best thing to help the recovery process along.... Hello Midol PM! (it's BRAND NEW and it works wonders!) YEH!!!!!

I started to come good after about 10days. My first day at work was a HUGE struggle as I was used to having a nap in the arvo. I went back in my first week and did 3 days. I've spent most of the weekend sleeping. Its taking me a while to get over it all.

Just sleep as much as you can (if you can in between taking care of kids). You'll be better much sooner or later. You just need time to heal. |

that has been one of my main issues. I get drained sooo easily from daily things I always do. I knew I'd be tired after surgery but didn't still expect it a week out. Good question and glad I'm not the only one feeling tired and drugged up when I'm NOT!

at 10 days post op, its pretty normal to be tired. if you're still taking pain meds, those usually make you feel tired too. you have to keep in mind that your body is healing and that definitely takes its toll. i think i was tired for the first month or so and then i gradually started feeling better...

Wow - I just read this thread and wanted to say thanks to everyone who has posted. I'm on Day 3 post-op and have been abnormally tired (can only stay awake 2-3 hours at a time). Like SgtArmyWife, I'm usually the up and about type (even when I'm sick)... but this BA has knocked me on my butt. I don't like being so tired, but at least your experiences have given me a heads up on what to expect next week when I go back to school. I love this forum. |

I was exhausted for the first month, seemed like I couldn't get through the day without a 3:30 nap. I have a desk job and the first week after surgery was horrible, all I did was work and sleep. It does get better, you just need to heal. Take it easy or as easy as you can with the kids, and give yourself some time. |

Awwwww, sorry you're still feeling so tired, we all heal at different rates and fatigue is the bodies way of slowing us down. My goodness, running after 3-5 kids everyday, I'd be exhaused without having surgery!!!! Hang in there |

I'm 3 and a half weeks post op now and still struggling ![]() To the point where I wake up with watery eyes. I am at work now and have been awake for 4hrs now and still feel as tired as when I woke up. Debating whether to go to the doctor for a blood test or if this is still normal? I am taking a multi vitamin to try and help with all this but doesnt seem to be helping much. |

I would have to say that is very normal. I know that I was exhausted for quite a bit and slowly got my energy back little by little. I do know that one of my friends is a surgery nurse and she said that for every hour under anesthesia it take up to 30 days to recover fully. Take it easy, enjoy those naps! You deserve a break and healing takes time! |
