Accolate

Anybody using Accolate to help reduce scar formation? It's a prescription drug for asthma. My doc prescribed it for me to take for 1 month. Has anybody used this to help with capsular contracture? Anybody take it and still get scar formation? Any side effects? I took it today and noticed I got tired a few hrs after, but my doc told me that could happen.

I am on accolate and I take it twice a day. The dr told me to take it for 3 months and so far so good. That's funny that you say you get tired quickly! Maybe that's why I want to pass out by 9pm!

Hi! My plastic surgeon had me take accolate for 1 month after my surgery because a capsule was forming on my left side. I took it for a month and the harding scar tissue went away. I'm now 9 months out and have had no problems with a capsule since, so it's def a good thing to take. As far as being tired goes i had no problems with that but everyone is different.

Good Luck to you!
