Travel?

My husband decided to tell his parents we could come and visit the first week of January. I am getting my augmentation done on December 29th and we are to go to his parents house (5 hours away) on January 3rd for 4 days. Would you say it would be ok to go or should we reschedule with his parents for a different date.

, I agree with dare - my plastic surgeon did not recommend travel for atleast 7 days after surgery...

good question...im getting my BA done on 12/18 and planning on going to my in-laws on 12/23. they live about 8 hours away.

I barely left my house for 10 days just going to the mall and plastic surgeon office was exhausting!

You will physically survive the visit, but I don't recommend it. You will be exhausted, tight, and sore. And forget trying to hug your in-laws when you see them on Day 5! Give yourself 7-10 days to rest and recover, then visit.

If I were you Id reschedule your visit for after your surgery. The drive probably wont be the most comfortable after your surgery and you will probably be sore and not yourself. You should go when you actually will feel up to visiting and moving around. But good luck with whatever you decide

I agree with sweetm.
Your hubby & in-laws are important, of course, but your recovery has to be your #1 priority post OP.

You're probably OK to be up somehow but I'm not too sure about your comfort level on less than 7 days post OP - both physically & mentally.
If you're just staying up at home with your hubby, then that's not a question at all but up & around with your in-laws...I'd definitely reschedule.

I would reschedule. This is a big surgery, your muscles are cut and lifted, it is not minor procedure.
