Seriously ladies....these puppies feel like they are going to POP! I am 7 days post-op, and this tight feeling is driving me mad! I started out REALLY small....(36AA on a good day) and had 401cc mod+ silicone 'overs' (well, subfascial, but not under the muscle) and my oh my oh my..... The implants don't look all that big since I have a pretty large frame and they are still sitting REALLY high (skin is stretched so much it shines! LOL)....but I wasn't expecting this tight feeling.....soreness, yes....like my skin is going to burst like something out of 'Alien'.....uh, no. ![]() Its almost like when I was breastfeeding my kids and would sometimes get engorged...but X 10. Anyone else feel like this? How did you get relief? How long did it last for you? Throw me a bone......

Welcome to frankenboobville! Your description is great for all those girls who are wondering what it's like. Most of us went through exactly what you are going through. The good news... within the next month, you'll notice huge changes, they will really settle and won't be sitting so high, they will also be taking shape ![]() By 8 weeks you will probably be dropping and then when the fluff happens they will look so much bigger. Hang in there!! It really does get better!!! Suggestions... ice packs often, an anti-inflammatory and rest |

I am 4 days PO and know exactly what you mean. The ice packs are really helping me. The plastic surgeon gave me a low dose valium to take every 8 hours to help relax the muscles. It is good to hear in the above post that they will look bigger! I only wanted a large C/small D in the beginning but I guess I am getting that boobie greed that everyone talks about and now hoping for a little bigger!!

Thanks for the responses, ladies. I am happy to know that this NORMAL and TEMPORARY. Spoke with my plastic surgeon, and he suggested anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen) and ice. Brrrrr...its snowing and cold here today, and the mere thought of ice on my breasts makes me shiver....but its worth a try. I love this board.......

I am going through the same thing . . . . Just got mine 2 days ago and my chest feels so tight. Still alot of pain, but thats easier to get used to then the tightness. Also can anyone tell me if this is normal. My newbies are sitting high, and very far out. Like towards the outside of my ribcage. Is this normal, will it get better when they d&f? Any and all help is appreciated! XOXO BG

Oh YES! Don't remember how long it lasted, but they were "ready to burst" for at LEAST 2 or 3 weeks. Hang in there. It will only get better |

Reading all the threads and post has helped me understand what I am in for. My BA is November 19th and the closer I get the more nervous I get, but I'm also excited don't get me wrong. Thanks for posting, it really helps to know what I may be in for. Quote:

We all have felt like we were engorged just like breastfeeding! ![]() Ice, Ice and more Ice! I then would take a hot shower to relax the muscles. Ice never felt so good. Good news though-It's only temporary! It only lasted the first week for me then the tightness eased up by week 2. Your new girls are worth it! |
