No sensation on site above incisions... normal?

I was wondering when I regain sensation on my breasts. I currently have no sensation at on the lower breast area above my incisions. I mean I feel nothing that I can pinch myself (gently) and feel no pain.

Those of you that are farther along with the recovery process, when did you begin to regain sensation in your breasts?

Thanks for help!

Oh wow.. I remember the numbness.. I think it was a good month before the majority of the hard core numbness wore off... I was numb from incision site to to top of my breasts... I am 6 months out, and its just more about getting normal sensation back now... Theres a big difference IMHO... But I think 3-4 weeks was when things felt more relaxed and the numbness wore off.. HTH!

Very normal. Don't even worry yet. It can take up to a year (or even more) for all sensation to come back. Or it can be much quicker. Most women regain all, or most of their pre-BA sensation, tho' loss of sensation IS one of the risks of having a BA.

It's normal!!! I'm almost 3 months and still a bit numb in spots! Some of the sensation is starting to come back! Just give it a little time, nerve regeneration can sometimes take a while!

Thanks to all of you for your input! I was under the impression that may be I was not massaging enough. i will just have to be patient, but not having sensation is a bit wierd!
