Fittings at VS...

Just a quick note to follow up on everyone's less than stellar fittings at Victoria's Secret. I was an employee there one summer several years ago and even though I fit women for bras (we were required to wear those terrible pink measuring tapes around our necks to remind people to ask us), I never had more than a 30 second training on how to fit properly. I even asked a question about how it could be a true sizing if we were measuring over people's clothing and the bra they were wearing. I was told that it just works out correctly anyway. UM.... even if they have on a very padded bra and a sweater? That can't be right. Anyway, if you feel like they mismeasured you, maybe they did. Don't get upset about it or take their word as gospel. Try on some bras or go to another store for a second opinion.

OMG you are a true boobie God and have just made my day... the lady at VS made me cry when she sized me BIAOTCH told me 34B I said I didn't pay 7000 for a B WTF and she said oh 34C

When I first went and got sized at VS, the girl told me, oh you are a 38C/D. I was like what? A 38? Look at me. I am 5' 2" and weigh 115 lbs. And you're telling me I am a 38? lol.

I do weight train and my back is kind of wide so I have to account for the back width when I try on bras, but that was pretty ridic! Plus when you measure me, I'm not flexing my back so ......

Some bras I fit 34's some bra I fit 36's. Depending on the brand.

This happened to me, only I didn't cry, I was mad!!!!

I told her that my Ipex wireless 34 C bra was too tight, but the 34 D's looked HUGE.

She measured me and told me I was a 34 B. Then tried to get me to buy a bra. Yeah, I already have 50 VS bras in a 34 B

That's hilarious. And to be expected. I remember something about taking the measurement under the bra and subtracting from that the measurement over the boobs. If the difference was 1, it was an A, 2=B, 3=C, etc, etc. It was sort of arbitrary. As soon as I am ready to be fitted, I am going to Nordstrom's.

omg same here LOL. i was sooo disappointed when the lady said 34B! i was like "are you serious? wtf!" i went to a different place to get measured and the lady there said "34C, but will probably be a D when they get softer." LOL. thank goodness!

I got fitted (at Macys though) I then all the bras I put on this that measurement were wayyy off. I just ended up asking my plastic surgeon to measure me!!

VS measurings are always ridiculous. even before breast augmentation they always got it wrong. i started off as 32b/c depending on bra and after my surgery and losing a few pounds a woman there measured me as a..34b?um..no? LOL
i'm actually a 32dd. their problem is when they measure your band they let it hang loosely. when measung band it needs to be pulled tight. so by getting that wrong it kind of throws off the whole size...sigh.

Well funny story it was at LaSenza though not VS.... I am currently a 36A and am well aware of my size... Well I decided to get measured just to see and the woman told me I was a 38C????? I kinda giggled and told her I didn't know where she was getting the measurement from because I'm a 36A...

i went in to VS to try on that new 2 cup sizes bigger bra.. and the lady didnt even measure me she just looked at me and was like here is a 32B. i was like ummm actually can i have a 34C. she was all your too small to be a 34. i was like wtf? so to prove her wrong i put on the 32B and was being strangled to death and my boobs were popping out of the bra. i was like can i have the 34C now? she handed me a 34B. i was like wow really? i put it on again to prove to her that my boobs were coming out of it... she fianlly gave me the 34C and was like oh yeah ok i guess your a 34C... i was like yeah! and then proceeded to be like and i dont want this bra. and left lol.

This doesn't surprise me at all! The just measure you once, over you clothes and at the top of the breast!

I just go to Nordies.

Thanks for that since they did measure me wrong they said I ws a 34B?? and I am like no way and got re measured at Dillards and am a 32DDD or 34DD which is much easier to find so will always remember what you said thanks
