Back pain Ouch!!! 7 days post op
Just courious? I have a lot of back pain and I am only 7 days post op. My breasts are good, but my back is killing me right behind the shoulder blades. My PS office was so nice I called today to ask if I sould wear a back supporting bra, and they said no that I was over compinsating for the pain and drawing my shoulders in hence the pain. They prescribed me a muscule relaxer to take at night. So I was just wondering has anyone experianced this? I haven't seen anyone complian about such a thing
Thanks for your imput ladies let me know.

Yup, totally normal. I didn't realize how much my posture was messed up because of the pain- you just don't realize you're doing it. Then you straighten up and it feels so much better!
Of course, sleeping is a bitch. I think it was a few days later than you are that I was able to lay relatively flat again, and a good 2 weeks before I could think about sleeping sorta on my side (boobs propped up with a rolled up shirt). Yeah, the back pain was worse than the BA pain! It gets better; and you can take OTC meds for that...really helps. |

Agree on the heating pad. It saved me. I sed it every time I laid down and especially at night. Only on my back, tho', keep it away from the boobies!

I totally agree with the heating pad thing I think I would have gone crazy with the pain if I didnt have that. I am getting to where I can sleep a little on my side not but with pillows all under, around, beside me ( my cocoon)

Yep, I have that! I hate it! It's what causes me more problems than anything, I think. The muscle relaxers don't help with it either.
I am planning on trying one of those heat pads they make for period cramps. Someone else mentioned that and I thought it was a good idea, so I'm going to try tonight. I hope it gets better for you!! |

my mid back is killing me during they day - I figure my posture must be different and I am not even noticing it. I feel much better when i lay down in bed ... then by morning my lower back is hurting from laying in one position all night.
can't win. I keep thinking the weight difference on the front of me - as minor as it really is, must be noticable to my back muscles ... |
