Time off work

Not sure if this goes under General or Recovery...

Just wondering how much time I'd need to take off work for my BA (I'm getting overs). My PS suggested one week, but I'm in retail so I'm standing/moving around all day... plus I'm really BAD with pain! (I'm the girl who curls up in a ball and cries over a papercut). Do you think one week is enough? Or should I take 2, just to be on the safe side?

I am taking 3 weeks off work but i am a server, and have to lift trays with drinks on them and carry plates of food. i am getting unders though. Do you have to do lifting... or reach high up?? If you can get away with kinda just walking around and helping people...then you may be ok. I hope some ladies that have had there Ba answer because i am curious also if i am taking enough time off. glad you posted this.

mine are overs too and my PS also suggested 1 week however he also said that i couldnt drive before 2 weeks so i used that as an excuse to take 2 weeks off work

in reality, 1 week is enough but you'll use the 2nd week to laze around, enjoy your boobies and get used to fitting them into your clothes. you will not be in pain during your 2nd week, more discomfort than pain, but personally i would recommend 2 weeks.
go on give youself a break - you deserve it use that 2nd week to go out and meet friends and get used to the new you. good luck sweetie

If you can afford to take 2 wks off, why not??? When I got my BA, I worked in a restaurant AND I had unders and I took 10 days off. And papercuts really DO hurt so you're not a weenie.

I had mine on Friday. On Saturday night, I went out drinking, and on Sunday I went to a hockey game. I went to work on Monday. I have a desk job though. If you're on your feet all day, then I would take about a week off. The fatigue will probably get to you more than the pain. I slept a lot that first week.

I have a very busy office job and I took 1 week off (surgery on Monday, back to work the following Monday) ... and it was hard that first day ...

by Wednesday, I felt very ready to be back - I had unders and most of my pain and inability to move freely was gone in 10 days - now I am left with discomfort and by the end of the day I am pretty wiped, but that is it.
