Weight on shoulders/back

I am thinking about DD, everyone insists on not going any larger than a D. This includes my primary care physician. Do any of you girls that opted for the larger implants have any comments?

Actually, breasts put no weight on your shoulders at all. Breasts put their weight on your chest muscles and skin, ill-fitting bras that have to be hoisted up by the bra straps to offer any support put weight on your shoulders and cause back pains. I'm going to make a little quote here:
"Back pain is particularly common among large-breasted women who wear bras offering insufficient support. In extreme cases, such discomfort can lead to a woman seeking breast reduction surgery. In a study[50][10] of 103 women seeking breast-reduction surgery (reduction mammaplasty) for pain, one woman never wore a bra, but of the remaining 102 all were wearing an incorrect bra size. The underband was too tight and the cup size too large. The larger the woman, the worse the fit."

In the beginning straight after getting the implants you might experience some neck and back pain but that's because most of us instinctively hunch over to protect the new babies, also, you can't shift sleeping positions as you normally would during the first few weeks after the operation so that'll make your back sore temporarily but in the long run it should not have an effect.

I'd recommend reading through the rest of what Wikipedia has to say on bras as well. It's not an absolute truth of course but it does give food for thought! I don't think there are any neck or back related causes for not considering anything larger than a D.

i dont think my implants qualify for "larger implants" but even if they did, i dont believe that big implants give you a bad back

its bad posture that gives people that slouchy appearance and contributes greatly to backpain.

if you already suffer from back or shoulder pain, a very simple exercise is to stand straight with your back against the edge of an open door and try to "grab" the door with your shoulder blades. i hope i explained it properly.
keep your back straight and stretch upwards and back as much as you can.

I was worried about this...

I thought sure that they would cause me back pain, etc. It's weird, my implants weigh about 2 1/2 pounds and I have noticed a lot of shoulder and back pain, BUT I think it's due to posture, getting used to walking w/ my shoulders back and sleeping on my back! I had horrible posture before and am trying to correct it with the weight of the implants. I think you will be fine as long as your body can hold them. Think of the number of women who get moderate to large size implants and some are tiny, and they never seem to have problems! Go for it.

My sis is naturally big busted and STRONGLY cautioned me about not going to big. She has a lot of back pain associated w/ her large bosum and doesn't want me to end up in pain. I've that women who have had breasts reductions feel better after some of the weight is gone.

This is not expert info by any means, just thougth I'd throw in what I've heard.

In my more than 2 months boobs. I suffered soreness in my back but it is due to my sleeping position not b-coz of the implants.About my experienced about having IMPLANTS it's extra careful and a little bit uncomfortable, yet as the days pass by they are being part of me. I was B right now I'm full C or D or DD it depends to the bra brand.
