. im sure this will help, and im glad she caught it early in case it doesnt go down on its own...... but its sooooooooooooo uncomfortable. how do you ladies who have to wear it, do it? i feel like a cat that has tape on its fur.anyways my bosom buddies.... HAPPY ST. PATTYS DAY!

It is kinda like just grin and bear it. Yes it is awful but just remind yourself that it is helping. I wore mine 24/7 for 5 weeks and it really helped to push them down. At first, I could not wait to stop wearing it and now I feel wierd without it. Remember it is only temporary and soon enough you'll be able to ditch it. Somedays, I put tissue around the area by underarms so it would keep from chafing. Hang in there.

I also had to wear the strap 24/7 for the first month. It did such but it really works! What I did was wear the strap over a thin t-shirt, this helped with the rubbing on the skin. Good luck and remember this is only temporary.

I hated the strap, too. Now I am wearing it because I want/need to- maybe I am a glutton for punishment.
Anyway, it is really helping my stubborn lefty finally find her place. |

Yep, I've had to wear it since the first day post-op. It was really rubbing my armpits, and someone on here suggested wearing it over a t-shirt...so I did and it helped so much.
Also, when it was hurting the most (days 3-6) I would wear it for 15 mins. and take it off for 15 mins. Then wear it for 15 mins. and so on. I didn't ask my PS about that, I just chose to on my own for my own sanity. If something goes wrong with my girls I will probably be the one at fault for not following my PS's instructions to the T on the strap thing. But so far, the strap is working for me. I hate it, but it IS working. |

I guess I'm a freak. LOL. I went without my strap today because I washed it. Of course, today would be the day that family emergencies happen and I had to take my 3 yo to the after-hours clinic.
When we got home at 1:30, my pecs were so bunched up and painful that I couldn't even massage them to make them feel better. I breathed a sigh of RELIEF when I put my strap back on and my chest immediately felt better. I *heart* the strap tonight. LOL |

Wow! that strap is really anoying! I had to wear it for 8 weeks!. Imagine that! And then, when my ps told me it was ok to take it off I continued wearing it, because I got so used to it. But yes, is unconfortable but it helped a lot!
