Nipples! How annoying!
Okay, ladies I want to thank everyone for so much information and so valuable that it is. I am currently now 17 days post and I feel fine. All except my nipples are so damn sensitive that they almost hurt. My god I got chills after a shower and they hurt. I am so sick of the damn surgical bra and the sports bras I have a worse cause they are bigger /bulkier looking. My shirts don't fit not even my tank tops...so, this week I am buying new ones. Although, I want to ask you all when did you buy your frist post bra? I know the size changes and mine has. I am not as swollen and they are coming down now. They still feel tender to the touch underneath and my nipples are sensitive. So, I was thinking IPEX wireless lightly padded? Would this be bad to wear so soon? My nurse lady said no bra for 6 months. I cannot wear a sports bra that long. And now I am so sick of these two bras I need some that will look natural under clothes. Other than that I am massaging twice a day and I have an appt. this week to check my progress. I still have tape on my nipples and recently I notice the stretching and peeling skin around my lower breasts and nipples. I am not itchy but just a little sore. I can't wait to get working out again cause I have gained 4 lbs since surgery from just eating and sitting around... no gym drives me nuts! Anyway, I am praying that while I drop and start to soften in the next months that I shirnk up a little. I am a 34C and I feel like I look too big. Anyway, let me know on the bra issues girls!! Thanks so much!

I found that Lily of France has a really cute sports bra that looks like a regular bra except that it has a racer back and is lightly padded.
http://www.lilyoffrance.com/styles/sport.asp Good luck. I found one at Kohls. But you can also order them online. I have the In Action one. |

At first, I used bralettes to help with my nipples. I think they're called "barely there" and I got them at KOHLS. I know a few women here who also love them. I still wear them from time to time.
I also got the IPEX wireless for days at work when I really need to hide my nipples (silky shirts). I just made sure to remove it right away when I got home from work. And I could feel relief when I removed it so it's quite possible that I was squishing them prematurely. Oh well. Definitely check out the bralettes. I also wore a lot of shelf camis for a while. |

My nipples and all around was hyper sensitive. I had to drive holding my seat belt away from me. I am a little over 4 weeks now and things are MUCH better. I noticed a turn for the better around 3 1/2 weeks. Hang in there. My nips are still sensitive, but it's tolerable now.
About the bra, I also bought an IPEX wireless and wore it. I felt like it was going to rub my nipples raw. I've found that wearing the "granny bra" as I like to call it feels so much better right now because it's form fitting and doesn't move around on me. At my 6 week post op I'll find out when I can start wearing "normal" bras again. |

Regular sports bras will help conceal your boobs. They fit more snug and secure so they kind of compact them a little.
