Ahh! Still Pointy!
I know you have to be patient but I have read that at 5 weeks or so other girls overs are looking pretty good, mire are good and I am pleased but they don't really seem to be dropping much yet and even thought they look good from the front, they still look really pointy from the sides! How long did people's boobs take to drop into shape? I dont want them top heal permenantly pointy!

Hi there!
I didn't see any dropping until about week 6 to 8. Try to be patient (I know! easier said than done) but there's nothing else we can do but wait until those boobies embrace those implants and help them go into place. If you were instructed by your ps to massage do it a lot! It helps! Otherwise, I really hope you start seeing a difference soon, and you will! Trust me. I'm still dropping and fluffing and I'm 4 months post op. |

Just wondering - what shape were you pre-BA? I think we keep the same shape, only bigger.

Everyone is different in dropping it took me about 6 wks for them to start dropping. Patience is important when you get a boob job you will see the results in a few weeks you will be very happy once things start getting into place.

It would be dissapointing if I still couldn't go braless after all coz of the shape, although I think they are still a bit high looking so I'm hoping maybe with time they'll drop a bit and get slightly rounder. |

I think it was after 6 weeks that they started to become less pointy. The VS Wireless IPEX bra really helps round them out. It's not padded but it has thick lining that helps.

Mine changed very little since about week 3 or 4 when the drop/fluff occurred. Since then, there is a nice softness that has settled in, and a very natural slope. Mine were definitely pointy "missiles" immediately post-op!
I was wondering if having high-profiles like you do might have some impact on the profile? Well, what I mean is, that is exactly the impact high vs. med profile implants have. So, I think you might have the projection, but maybe the 'scoring' the PS did will continue to help round you out. ...let us know what your PS says! |

Don't worry too much! There is NOTHING wrong with slightly pointy boobs. If we all looked the same - how boring! Take pride in your own look. I can say this 'cause I also have boobs that were "pointy", IMO. At least until I had four kids and got older and they got more droopy. LOL! And that didn't finally happen till I was over 50! So maybe something good to be said for those pointy ones. They droop later! Or so the mammo techs have told me..... Enjoy what you are. Annie |

Thanks for the thread! I am only 2 days post-op and have boobs like daggers! From what everyone says though, week 6 is the turning point. Thanks for all those who posted a reply in this thread. I felt better after reading it!

Thanks for all your replies and yes maybe the profile could have something to do with it but the odd thing is that they are round at the sides it is just where they slope down from the nipple like they do at the top that gives them they're pointy profile. But then maybe they just look pointy because my nipples/areolas from part of the shape of my breast rather just kinda sitting flat on them.
And thankyou Anne for your post and I have noticed actually some natural girls are fairly pointy without bras and they look fine, so it's all good

Well coming from someone who was also tubular pre-BA I can feel your pain. My PS went all the way around the nipple and had to remove breast tissue to decrease the pointy look. It was very involved but as a result I am nice and round and have been from day one. Having said that I have seen others who have been slightly pointy post op and then evened out over time. This leads me to believe that it depends a lot on how the surgery was done, and your starting point. Since your PS took your condition into account (some PS's don't and that doesn't usually have a good result) I bet if you give it time you will start to see the rounder look you are hoping for. You look great in your avatar pics though so I bet you are well on your way already and are just being self critical! Good luck :-)

Cathy,
Another thing to consider is what bras you buy/wear post-op. I ordered one bra online and I swear, it makes my girls look pointyier than ever! It's a pretty bra, just doesn't give me the look I want. You want something that is going to bring the girls together and push them up a bit. If I find one, I'll let you know. And vice-versa, ok? Thanks!Annie |

I think this is a very good point, if you were that shape before then may be after, we change size not too much shape. But also you are early and may not know until 3-6 months. Hang in there
