The Strap - Post-operative Breast Augmentation Garment
The "strap" is a garment that's worn to help push the implants downward. Not all women have to wear it, but it is sometimes recommended for women whose implants ride high in the beginning.
This strap in the photo below is sold by Mentor Corp, and is called the "Bandeau".

The subject below used an ace bandage wrapped around the top of her breasts, which gives the same effect as the strap shown in the photo above. In the middle photo, you'll notice that the strap is pulled lower in the back, which causes more pressure on the implants. The ace bandage may be worn with or without your surgical bra. Always check with your surgeon before deciding to wear the strap.

The first 1/3 is made of wide elastic (with a velcro tab on the end) and the rest is made of non-stretchy padded material. After you adjust it to the tightness you want, you swivel it around so that the elastic strip is over the breasts an the padded part is on your back. It can be bought at www.advancedbiotech.com/Bra.html.

This is yet another version of the strap. Here, two cotton/spandex tank-style sports bras have been cut off, just above the elastic band. The elastic bands are used as the "strap". I find that the this version puts more pressure on the lower portion of the implant, and is less noticeable under clothes.
