3 months post op, my breasts still look swollen. Will I need a revision?

350cc in right, 400 in left. Mod plus Mentor. I was a small 34B 11bwd. The sides are still flat; my boobs aren't looking natural or round. Haven't really dropped. Does this mean I'll need a revision. I have pictures to post or send if necessary.

It is very difficult to assess you without seeing you in person. Usually at three months, your breasts should be close to their final result. It may take longer for some women to heal, so I would consult with your plastic surgeon and see what his/her recommendations are.

A proper assessment includes a physical examination, a discussion of goals, a detailed medical and surgery history as well as measurements and preoperative photographs. It is impossible to determine if you need a surgical revision without assessing all of those elements. If your asymmetry concerns aren't addressed by your operative surgeon at this point it may be time to consider a second opinion.

Thank you for your question. It is still too early to determine if you will need a secondary procedure. It may take up to 6 months to see the final results. It sounds like your muscle and soft tissue envelope around the breast are still tight. You should discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon. You may want to consider not wearing a bra to allow the implants to settle. Additionally, taking a leukotriene inhibitor such as Singular may assist in softening the breast. This is a prescription and shouldn't be started without consulting with your plastic surgeon first. I know its frustrating, but try to be patient and give it more time.

Breast augmentation takes about a year to see the final results. The most important is that you continue your follow up appointments with your surgeon. You will see a nice difference after all the healing.

Pictures would be very helpful. Please send if possible. Without them it's hard to visualize what you are seeing. At 3 months post-op, however, most of the healing should have taken place by now. But in some cases the healing process can take longer. Once the implants "drop and fluff", the breasts will look much better. If they haven't dropped by now, I would recommend a visit with your plastic surgeon to discuss. There are special surgical bras that can be worn to help "push" the implants into the lower pocket. Massage is helpful as well. If you haven't been instructed on proper breast implant massage, consult with your PS.

I would suggest giving it a little more time before you decide to move forward with any revision surgery. Although a lot of the swelling has gone away at the 3 month post-op mark, and your implants have started to drop, they will continue to drop and soften up to even 6 months post-op. Continue to see your surgeon for follow ups and bring up your concerns, but you will likely see more change in the upcoming months.

At three months, you should look more normal. That being said, it is important to see pictures. You should certainly go back to see your doctor if you have not already.

I would need to see a photo to make this determination, but based upon your description, you will need a revision as you don't like them. The best thing to do is to see your PS and have a discussion with him or her. Implants do settle some from three to six months, but most of the settling has occurred at three months.

I would be very aggressive with stretching the pocket out. Do this aggressively for 3 months. If still odd shaped, you may need a revision, but keep in mind if it is a capsular contracture it may reoccur.

I had breast augmentation 6 weeks ago and they seem to have settled but i'm unsure. I'm feel like they are too small. I have tried on bras and I measure into a 32DD as well as 34 C sister size (I was a 32a prior). How long will it take for my breast to drop and fluff? I also have a gap in between which makes it difficult to achieve cleavage.

I had a breast augmentation on April 8th. I feel like they are shaped funny and not as big as I wanted. I went submuscular. Prior to the surgery, I was a 38 B and now I have 560 cc silicone gel Inspira implants. I was hoping to be a DD. Should I have gone bigger? Will my breast take a more natural shape? When is a good time to get a new bra, and will I be a DD once my breasts have settled and healing is complete?

I thought I was getting 400cc high profile silicone but my PS said they'll be 400cc moderate plus. I wanted a natural but big look, a D cup, and a small gap. Maybe that's why he chose those? Is there much difference in projection?

My breast augmentation is next Saturday and I am hesitating between 225 and 250cc submuscular silicone! I am a 32A/tiny B and fill up a 32B bra at Victoria's Secret. I am looking to be a full B/small C. I'm 5"6 and weigh around 100lbs. I am so scared I'm going to look disproportional and fake, but am also scared this is going to make me go too small. My goal is to look natural and proportional, while at the same time have a nice rack. Which implant do you think will give me the desired look?

I'm a little lost on the XL implants matter, that I personally like. Are they really unsafe? What are the reasons for that? It seems most PS don't recommend/perform them. Is it by lack of experience/expertise? Idealism? Are those PS who perform these procedures just "warriors" responding to a well present market? I would be curious to hear some honest answers, leaving the politically/socially correct behind. Thanks in advance.

I am 5"4 and 145lbs. I am currently a 34C and would like to be a Dcup. My PS recommend a lift. I informed him i wanted implants but still want a natural look. PS recommended 485cc smooth moderate plus silicone obove the mucle. Possible mini lift during surgery depending on how the implant looks during surgery. It just sounds like a lot of CCs. It doesn't feel right and now I'm freaking out.

I'm currently a large C-cup. My doctor said with 600cc I will end up around a DD. I'm fine with that but 600cc seems really big. Can my frame really handle that big of an implant and not look like Dolly Parton? I'm 5ft 8 in tall, 160lbs, size 10, wide shoulders.

I know there is a vast amount of factors that go into breast augmentation, lifts, and implant manufacturer costs alongside anesthesia, facility, meds, and other costs. But in your experience what is a ball park cost range you typically see for breast augmentation, and breast augmentation + lift. It'd be very helpful if you share a range like 9-10k or 6-7k, etc. Thanks!
