I just had surgery yesterday and I got 355cc's. They look so small in my surgical bra and wrap. I'm worried that they won't be big enough. Do you know what size I might be once the implants settle? I'm hoping small D.
Given your previous cup size, you'd need to jump 3 cups in order to become a D. At 355 cc's, you are only getting a 2-2 1/2 cup increase.

There is no way to predict cup size. In addition, a "D-Cup" at Victoria's Secret might be a "C-Cup" with other manufacturers. Go for volume. You don't mention your height and weight as well. If you are unhappy, express your concerns with your plastic surgeon and get his/her opinion. The implant size can be changed if you are unhappy. Good luck.

It is very early to determine the outcome. For this, I would suggest you ask your surgeon at your first post op appointment.

It is hard to say. You are early postoperative, so it will take time for the swelling to go down and your breasts settle. You should do fine.

This volume should leave you as a 34C, or maybe a small D in Victoria's Secret bras.

In the end, you will likely have a middle C-cup.

After 6 months, you will know your true size!

First of all you should be directing these questions to your surgeon. Secondly it depends on how much breast tissue you had to start with as to how much a 355 mL implant would give you. Thirdly, bra sizes are totally different from one manufacture to another. So Victoria's Secret D is a Fredericks of Hollywood double D. Lastly if surgery was done just yesterday you need to relax because nobody's going to change something out until the inflammation has gone down which would be at least 3 to 6 months in my practice

There is no standardization of bra size so your request to be a D actually means little. It is a question ultimately of whether the look is what you want and then you just buy the bra size that fits.
Though there is swelling now, if you have tight skin it is pushing down on the implants like a tight pair of spanx, squashing them against your body and making them look smaller. When the skin relaxes the breasts will "fluff" and be less stuck to you, become more mobile, give you more cleavage, and look a lot larger.
But here's the bottom line: no one, and I mean no one on the planet can tell you what bra size you will buy. We don't know how the breasts will settle; what manufacturer you buy; what the woman in the store suggests for you; and what you find to be comfortable.

I spend a great deal of time with patients before surgery discussing size. I review photos with them and try on sizers to get an idea of what they want. Because you are wrapped up and its so soon after surgery, your breasts probably look smaller than what they will be once the implants settle and your skin and muscle stretch. However, if you started out as an A cup, my guess is you will be a medium C with 355cc implants. To be a D cup you may have needed something in the range of 450cc. Of course there is no set criteria on what makes a C cup or D cup. The cup size you buy may be different with different brands of bras. That is why I personally judge by photos and sizers rather than someone just telling me the cup size they want to be.

It is impossible to say where you will lay out in bra size. At one day post op, you still have a lot of healing and settling to go through. You really will not have an idea about the size until you hit the one month mark (at a minimum). Just follow your surgeon's post operative instructions and let everything heal.

Breast size will be very hard to determine the after a breast augmentation because the breast implants will be high and if the breast implants were placed under the muscle, the muscle will compress and hold them up. It takes about 3 weeks for the initial result and then about a year for the final result after a breast augmentation. Typically for sizing related to volume and cup size, 150cc is about one cup size.

Please follow your surgeons instructions and do not remove your surgery bra. This is a question you should really ask your surgeon since he/she was there directly. I think suppositions can start to be dangerous and we mentally start filling in the blanks.
