Would 550cc/600cc or more be too big ?

Hello!
I'm 5'4, 140lbs, and currently a size 34 A. I'm very small and slim up top and I have bigger thighs/ butt. I want big boobs and I'm scheduled for the 18 of April. I tried on 425cc but I feel I want to go bigger. I want Amber Rose boobs, like DD, but I don't want to be too big to take away from my butt. Would 550/600cc be way too big for my size, or would it look nice?

It is difficult to give implant size advice over the internet, but going from an A cup to over 500cc in the first surgery can increase your chances of complications, including implant malposition and asymmetry.

Be sure you are speaking to a very well experienced PS that can give you sound advice as to what size implants are safe for your body.

I hope this helps

You have an anatomic capacity, and to choose an implant that is larger will place you at high risk for many complications and re-operation. If your doctor has not determined your anatomic capacity by direct physical examination, you may want to go to one who does mind this very important issue.

As for your aesthetic goals, thinking in terms of bra cup sizes is a road to dissatisfaction and disappointment. In-office sizing will help you determine the size necessary to achieve your goals. But remember, if it is larger than your anatomic capacity, you are at risk for problems. Best of luck. Instagram: @drgeraldminniti

Hi. I am excited for you. First, I would recommend that you consult with your board-certified plastic surgeon regarding your desires and concerns. Finding the appropriate breast implant size involves measurements of your existing breast size, the width of your torso, the amount of skin laxity (or the elasticity) of your natural breasts, the length of your torso in proportion to the rest of your body, and other factors. What you consider to be an appropriate size now may not be the appropriate size 20-30 years later.

Therefore, consideration of the permanent changes that may occur to your breast anatomy and chest wall muscles must be part of the discussion during the consultation. Trying different sizes and taking photos of yourself will be helpful. You will then be able to better determine the ideal proportion of your breasts to the rest of your body. Take time to explore your options with your surgeon in person.

Best Wishes,
Yongsook Victoria Suh

Every 120-150 cubic centimeters of implant size increases the cup size by one. So, if you have 450cc implants, your cup size should increase by about 3.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, in the absence of a physical exam, it is difficult to say with any certainty what implant size would be most appropriate to achieve the cosmetic result that you desire. The appropriateness of a specific implant volume, shape and/or profile is highly patient specific and is best determined at the time of a physical exam and consultation. At the time of your consultation it would be important for your breast base width and distance between your nipple and inframammary crease to be measured and for you to thoroughly review with your surgeon of choice your desired cosmetic result. Many plastic surgeons, myself included, offer patients 3D breast imaging to help elucidate what cosmetic result a specific size implant will afford and I have found that patients find this to be extremely helpful in making sure that they are picking the best implant for their anatomy.

I hope you find this helpful and I wish you all of the best!

Thank you for the question. Despite your good description of body type and goals, online consultants will not be able to provide you with specific enough advice to be truly helpful. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical.

Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:

1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. ***Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.

2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals.

In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of know words such as “natural” or "full B cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.

Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.

3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.

I had breast augmentation 6 weeks ago and they seem to have settled but i'm unsure. I'm feel like they are too small. I have tried on bras and I measure into a 32DD as well as 34 C sister size (I was a 32a prior). How long will it take for my breast to drop and fluff? I also have a gap in between which makes it difficult to achieve cleavage.

I had a breast augmentation on April 8th. I feel like they are shaped funny and not as big as I wanted. I went submuscular. Prior to the surgery, I was a 38 B and now I have 560 cc silicone gel Inspira implants. I was hoping to be a DD. Should I have gone bigger? Will my breast take a more natural shape? When is a good time to get a new bra, and will I be a DD once my breasts have settled and healing is complete?

My breast augmentation is next Saturday and I am hesitating between 225 and 250cc submuscular silicone! I am a 32A/tiny B and fill up a 32B bra at Victoria's Secret. I am looking to be a full B/small C. I'm 5"6 and weigh around 100lbs. I am so scared I'm going to look disproportional and fake, but am also scared this is going to make me go too small. My goal is to look natural and proportional, while at the same time have a nice rack. Which implant do you think will give me the desired look?

I'm a little lost on the XL implants matter, that I personally like. Are they really unsafe? What are the reasons for that? It seems most PS don't recommend/perform them. Is it by lack of experience/expertise? Idealism? Are those PS who perform these procedures just "warriors" responding to a well present market? I would be curious to hear some honest answers, leaving the politically/socially correct behind. Thanks in advance.

I am 5"4 and 145lbs. I am currently a 34C and would like to be a Dcup. My PS recommend a lift. I informed him i wanted implants but still want a natural look. PS recommended 485cc smooth moderate plus silicone obove the mucle. Possible mini lift during surgery depending on how the implant looks during surgery. It just sounds like a lot of CCs. It doesn't feel right and now I'm freaking out.

I know there is a vast amount of factors that go into breast augmentation, lifts, and implant manufacturer costs alongside anesthesia, facility, meds, and other costs. But in your experience what is a ball park cost range you typically see for breast augmentation, and breast augmentation + lift. It'd be very helpful if you share a range like 9-10k or 6-7k, etc. Thanks!
