Saline implants do have the advantage of volume adjustment and some degree of overfilling which is always preferable to underfilling. However, there is a limit based on possible mechanical implant failure. Typically, saline implants can be overfilled by about 10-20%. Therefore, a 700 cc implant could be filled to about 800 cc or slightly more, but overfilling to 1200 cc or over 70% would not be recommended.

Hi. I have never overfilled a saline device by more than 20%. So no more than 840 in a 700. I was taught that it created scalloping of the edges and more prone to rupture. Typically would use a highly cohesive 800 cc gel implant in your case. Best of luck!

You can overfill to 1200 cc's, you will just void your warranty.

This would be saline. The side boob look comes from using an implant with a large base diameter. Over-filling would not accomplish that and would probably result in rippling of the implant. Without looking at the manufacturer's recommendation, I doubt that it would be recommended and might result in increased risk of rupture.

Hello! You will need an in-person examination with a board-certified plastic surgeon with expertise in aesthetic breast surgery for your best outcome. I am not a big fan of saline implants that are overfilled to 1200cc--they tend to be heavy, move to an undesirable position, have a much higher incidence of rippling and/or rupture within 5 years, and cause unnecessary tissue stretch. The latter issue may result in a major lift and revision later. I would recommend getting silicone implants that fit your frame. There are many new silicone implants (including Inspira implants made by Natrelle) that feel nicer and do a better job of filling out your breasts. If you want more upper pole fullness or extra projection, you could go with their SRX profile implants. Otherwise, a SRF implant (this is their full profile implant) will help achieve very round, perky breasts all around and fill your sides appropriately to give you the barbie doll look you desire. You will get a much better value for your money with silicone implants that fit your frame than using such excessively overfilled saline implants. Anyone who offers you such a treatment does not have your best interest at heart.

You should consult with a doctor who has seen you for an exam to see if your chest wall can accommodate this amount of fill. That's the first step. You just may need bigger implants. It all depends on your body and what is possible. Remember, this is surgery. Wishing you the best.

Breast implants are dome shaped. They are flat on the posterior surface. If you fill a 700 mL to 1200 mL, it will become ball shaped. There's a greater chance of implant rupture as well as capsular contracture

Without an examination, it will be difficult for online consultants to give you specific advice as to achieving the "look" you are wanting.
The manufacturers of breast implants recommend a specific “range” of breast implant filling volume. Generally, I prefer to fill to the higher part of this range; doing so helps decrease risk of breast implant rippling.
I have also filled many hundreds of implants significantly past the breast implant manufacturers recommendations, without an increase in incidence of breast implant leakage.
Of course, there are potential downsides to significant overfilling breast implants such as firmness of feel of the breast implant etc.

Thank you for asking. The specific volume for a patient to overfill to is difficult to address in an online forum like this. It requires a careful in person evaluation and possibly even infra-operative (during surgery) decision making. Talk with a board certified plastic surgeon who has extensive breast experience with saline sizers. Best wishes!

I do a lot of XL augmentations - and you really have to take your chest measurements into account when selecting which shell to overfill. When going to the 1200cc range the most frequent shell size I use is the Mentor Mod Plus 800-960cc shell.
So there really isn't one correct answer to your question, but any surgeon who does a lot of XLs should be able to guide you through the process and help you choose the right implants both to fit your body and to achieve your goal size and look.

Choosing the right implant can be difficult. Using photos, measurements, and trying on sizers can all be useful. Your plastic surgeon will eventually be the best to help guide you through this process of selecting the ideal implant.

At this point it is difficult to say. You are exceeding the max fill and whether you overfill a 700 or an 850, it is difficult to predict the final appearance . You should be I aware ofntheblong term risks .

I had breast augmentation 6 weeks ago and they seem to have settled but i'm unsure. I'm feel like they are too small. I have tried on bras and I measure into a 32DD as well as 34 C sister size (I was a 32a prior). How long will it take for my breast to drop and fluff? I also have a gap in between which makes it difficult to achieve cleavage.

I had a breast augmentation on April 8th. I feel like they are shaped funny and not as big as I wanted. I went submuscular. Prior to the surgery, I was a 38 B and now I have 560 cc silicone gel Inspira implants. I was hoping to be a DD. Should I have gone bigger? Will my breast take a more natural shape? When is a good time to get a new bra, and will I be a DD once my breasts have settled and healing is complete?

I'm a little lost on the XL implants matter, that I personally like. Are they really unsafe? What are the reasons for that? It seems most PS don't recommend/perform them. I know there is a vast amount of factors that go into breast augmentation, lifts, and implant manufacturer costs alongside anesthesia, facility, meds, and other costs. But in your experience what is a ball park cost range you typically see for breast augmentation, and breast augmentation + lift. It'd be very helpful if you share a range like 9-10k or 6-7k, etc. Thanks!
