Sometimes numbness, which is usually temporary, can accompany augmentation. This is more common with an incision at the areola than in the fold under the breast. If you have an incision that goes all the way around the nipple, that's technically a lift and numbness is more common with a lift than with implants alone. A dark, numb nipple may not have enough blood supply. That is something to contact your surgeon about ASAP.

It can take about a month for everything to settle down after surgery, and it is not unusual for the nipples to act differently throughout that time. I would check in with your surgeon and make sure it is normal, and then just follow their post-operative instructions. I hope this helps.

Slight drainage from the incision is not unusual. Also discoloration is not uncommon during the initial healing process, and temporary alterations in sensation and nipple function are not unusual early on. You should follow-up with your plastic surgeon to assure that all is well with this healing period.

Losing nipple sensation and change in color can be a side effect after a breast augmentation, which can be temporary or permanent. I recommend discussing your concern with your surgeon.
