Yes, I have performed breast augmentation with great satisfaction in patients who have SLE. The symptoms are neither exacerbate nor relieved by the procedure. In other words, it will not make the SLE better; it will not make the SLE worse.

Absolutely. Auto-immune diseases are no longer a concern for patients who want silicone gel implants. There is no cause and effect relationship between silicone gel implants and these diseases. There has never been a connection between breast implants and any systemic disease; it is just a myth. The silicone gel implants are the most studied medical device in the history of the FDA, and they have never been able to link them to any disease. I hope this helps.
