I'll be getting my first set of implants next Friday with a lollipop lift. I want to know approx when I can get back to sexual activity, and not the kind where I have to just lay there with a sports bra on.
You are funny! Generally early postop you should be careful to avoid vigorous activity for the first couple weeks to minimize bleeding, swelling and excessive implant motion/tension on the incisions. Best to check with your plastic surgeon for his/her specific recommendations.

Since you are having a lift at the same time, that prolongs the healing process. In these cases, it is usually a month before you are back to full-blown, non-restricted sexual activities.

Recommendations for returning to physical activity will vary from physician to physician. Generally, patients can expect to return to lighter physical activity by one month, with a return to full strenuous physical activity by 6 weeks.
The return to sexual activity will ultimately be a function of which category this activity falls into (lighter vs. more strenuous). With regards to your specific question, I would recommend 6 weeks.
As always, discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Your breasts are having surgery. Your other parts will still work. So many patients practice alternative ways to "handle their business" that don't involve having weight on their breasts.

We would advise at least a month before rough vigorous sex where your breasts are manipulated a lot. Gentler sex could begin sooner.

Best to ask your plastic surgeon. I usually permit my patients to resume all sexual activity at 6 weeks and sometimes earlier with a bar and female dominance.

Be imaginative. However, I recommend no jumping or shaking the breasts for four weeks to be sure the capsule has formed.

Ask your surgeon for his protocol as every surgeon's differs.

Thank you for your question. It typically takes six weeks to heal from any surgery. When you have intercourse, it can cause your heart rate to be elevated, which can increase your blood pressure, vasodialate, and then lead to extreme swelling. Because of this, we ask that you refrain from intercourse for at least 3-4 weeks if you plan on getting your heart rate that elevated.

Thank you for sharing. This is a common question that occurs. It really depends on how you are doing and how your PS feels the healing is coming along. Usually, a few weeks have to pass. Depending on the situation, however, the timeline may extend to 6 weeks. Hope this helps.

To be on the safe side, I would recommend you refrain from sexual intercourse for 4 to 6 weeks. However, your plastic surgeon may have different standards, so it is best you consult with him.
