Are you familiar with Allergan Saline Implants?

Hello Dr. Kim,

I am looking at Allergan HP Saline implants (Natrelle). I would like your feedback on overfilling these implants by 10%. Is it necessary to avoid rippling? Do they become very firm? What is your opinion?

Also, are your famiilar with Allergan HP 425 and 465cc saline implants? Are they considered a big size?

Dr. David Kim is on a distinguished road
Again as with the last question, what someone considers big is really relative. I don't think they are overly big but it just depends on what you are going for and what you are starting with. Allergan salines are a bit stiffer than mentor salines. Overfilling technically is when you fill above the maximum recommended fill volume. For example a 360 cc implant has a range from 360 to 390 cc's. overfilling would be filling above 390. Overfilling does not prevent rippling. I've tried it with samples. In fact as you continue to overfill the ripples tend to get deeper. The implant will be a little firmer with overfilling.
