Just got my boobs done yesterday!!!!

After wanting a boob job since I was about 15, I finally got them done yesterday! I live in Manhattan and went to Dr Swift on the Upper East Side. I was very nervous about the anesthesia, but that ended up being a breeze ( Dr. Tu did a great job on the anesthesia). I feel like Dr. Swift did a great job on my breasts. Part of why I went with him, was during the consult he seemed very conservative when it came to size, which is what I wanted... I just wanted fuller and rounder, not anything super huge. So many of my friends that have had augmentations have decided on one size only for the surgeon to put a much larger implant in during the surgery. Dr. Swift and I discussed 300cc (I wanted to be a C) and that is exactly what he put in. I was honestly expecting the surgery to be far more painful. So far it feel really minor pain. I've been taking my hydrocodone fairly spaced out. I felt well enough to walk 4 blocks (and back) to Whole foods today for lunch. For the most part I've been chilling on the couch in my living room watching tv (my bed is 3 feet off the ground to utilize the window view in my apartment, so it's going to be a while).
My actual breasts... i had a dr's appointment this morning and i've snuck a few peaks... seem to look pretty good. For unders they actually aren't sitting that high right now. I'm also happy to say my breasts don't feel hard at all. I've had my nipples pierced but I decided to let the dr leave the piercings out for the time being. I have full sensation in my right nipple.. My left one still seems numb, but one day out that to be expected. I have swelling down my sternum/cleavage and on the sides (they extended my pockets out a bit on the side).
It's a bit of a mindf*ck to go from having tiny boobs my whole life to having actual cleavage.. Actually having them in your body isn't like a miraculous bra or wearing chicken cutlets.. it's definitely going to be an adjustment.

sadanduneven and ABWright like this.

Congrats!!! The sternum/cleavage swelling is so weird isn't it? On day 3 mine is starting to go down, but it's definitely strange.

I'm also not used to having larger breasts. I measured at a C/D sometimes before, but due to the tight skin and tissue they looked more like a B and were small on my body. Now they look perfectly proportionate. It's weird when I see them in the mirror, because they look like mine, but don't at the same time! But despite the healing process that I still need to go through, they look like how I always pictured myself having breasts.

I have a question for you. I too live in Manhattan and have my BA (replacement and lift) with lipo scheduled for September 22nd. We do not own a car (recent transplants to NYC) Do you have any recommendations as to the best way to get home. I am having my work done by Dr. Mahmood. Not sure if I should have my husband rent a zip car or just take a Lyft or taxi. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

My mom (she's very extra in her behavior & wasn't even supposed to go w/ me to my surgery) insisted on hiring a car service and having them wait there for the full 3 hours or so.lol. But I personally would just do a Lyft / Uber. I wouldn't do a taxi bc of the issue of hailing it. I guess it also depends on how far you live, bc it might be cheaper to rent a car.. But probably not because you'd still have to pay for the parking garage and most garages in the city are like $30+ . My PS is on 87th & Park and I live in Hudson Yards.. So it's only about a 15 to 20 minute drive, they typically take the West Side Highway up to like 95th(?) and cut over central park then take Lexington down. It usually costs me about $25 each way to my PS. Also you're probably better off hiring an uber, bc your husband is probably not used to driving in the city on a regular basis and might have issues. Last summer i rented a car to go somewhere in NJ and it took me & my friend 30 minutes to figure out how to get into the Lincoln tunnel despite the fact I live right there and I'm great with directions (I was in LA in Oct after not having been there for 8 years and rarely had to turn on the GPS).. NYC driving is confusing AF bc of all the 1 way streets...So might as well pay someone who's used to it.
BTW if you hire a car service or uber by law you have to have a friend or family member with you coming back from the surgery to prevent you being raped or anything like that. Like I can't really remember the car ride home bc you're still f'ed up from the anesthesia for an hour or two after. I can remember everything from the time I walked into my apartment and leading up to being put out though.. Some people have no memory of the entire day of surgery.

Thank you so much SammieNYC for the reply. You have helped me make up my mind to go with Lyft. My surgeon is near Central Park as well and we live in Chelsea. Yes the few times my husband had to drive in the city was when we first moved here last year and he hated it. I hope you are doing well!!!

Congrats Sammi! Exciting to have actual cleavage, I am looking forward to that as well! How long is it supposed to be until you have sensation back in both of your nipples?
