Hypersensitivity helppp!!!

Iím now almost 3 weeks post op. And for the past 2 weeks Iím having extreme sensitivity to my nipples and the surrounding skin on my breasts. Itís literally like nothing Iíve ever felt. I canít even wear clothes the skin hurts so bad. No swelling or redness, just feels like a bad sunburn or sandpaper rubbing on my sling 24/7. Iíve tried numbing creams and burn creams and nothing seems to relieve the pain at all. Please tell me this goes away soon itís unbearable

It'll go away eventually. My hypersensitivity was mostly on the bottom of my breasts. I'm at 5 months PO now and it's almost nearly gone.

My sensitivity was the same as yours. Couldn't stand my clothes touching me. Salonpas saved my sanity. It dries so its not sticky like some of the other creams or gels. I'm 5mos po and all better now. Hope you are soon also.

heymom3 will become famous soon enough heymom3 will become famous soon enough
Hopefully you are doing better now. It just takes time for the nerves to heal and remember what they are suppose to feel. Hang in there! Not sure which is worse....hyper sensitive or no sensation. I think I'd take the hyper because it will calm down.
