How soon did you go back to work?

I am looking to do a lolipop lift w/ an implant under the muscle through the armpit. My PS said I would be out of work for a week....is this enough time? How long are you really in pain for after a procedure like this? I know everyone is so different, but just trying to get an idea.

Work

I had a lift with 460cc saline implant. I thought it was going to be a lollipop lift, but I only have incisions around my areola so maybe it's just a donut lift with periareola incision? I don't know. Anyway, I had it Friday, March 4th and I had originally taken off Monday but when I woke up Monday to my son's alarm clock I decided that I would try to go to work so I could save my vacation days for summer. Anyway, I actually think it helped me a lot to just get out of the house. My back was aching and I was tired but I made it through. I do have a sedentary desk job. I only live a few blocks away so my routine is to go home at lunch and put a heating pad on my back and ice packs on my chest while I eat. When, I get home same routine....I use my hydrocodone and diazepam at night and just extra strength tylenol during the day.

I had a full anchor lift with 275cc saline unders on a Wednesday, and was back to work on Tuesday. My husband is self-employed and I work for him, so I was able to be casual and comfortable. I think I worked a few hours each day that week and worked up to a full day by that Friday.

I am due to get my surgery done on March 30th and as my PS the same question and he said 2 weeks for me. But I clean houses for a living so I do alot of repetitive movements with my arms (like vaccuming, and dusting). So i think it just depends on what you do for a living! Good luck

I'm a receptionist, and although my work is easy I really did need my 8 days to really feel comfortable getting back to work.
Make sure to take it easy!
This is your health and wellness we're talking about :]

Work

I had a lift with augmentation (periareolar) I had surgery on Friday and went back on Monday. I do have a desk job and only had to basically answer phones and type. I think it's all about how you feel. I still am using ice packs in the morning before anyone gets there. Worst part is getting up in the morning and dealing with morning boob then rushing to get ready (make sure you lay your clothes out to save on time).

Good Luck~
