BA - preventative mastectomy with immediate reconstruction

Hi,

I have an op scheduled for 4/4 to undergo preventative mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. My surgeon chose Mentor cpg 322 330 and I am just wondering whether anyone has any idea as to what size it will end up as?

I am a little worried it might be too big. I am currently 32 B (nearly B) but will be starting from nothing.
5ft 6, 9 stone, size 8-10. It will be unders, gummy bear.

I am hoping to be full 32 C. Any ideas?

Also he is using a tiloop mesh. Has anyone had it done with mesh before?

Thanks

I would think you could end up 32B-C.

Are they doing the nipple sparing mastectomy? A GF of mine did that and it worked out very well. She has about your stats and did 400cc and ended up with a 32C.
I have read that 150cc = roughly 1 cup size...and for her that was close.

Keep us posted!
Good luck. Speedy healing!

Thanks

Thank you, that's reassuring.

Yes, I am having skin and nipple sparing mastectomy. I am trying to think about it as a BA and it actually makes me really looking forward to having amazing breasts
Fear is at the moment pushed right into the back of my head. It will probably hit me just before the day...

I wil def keep you posted xx

I highly recommend checking out the Anatomical Forum. Meg, one of our mods is full of information about anatomical implants.

As far as the TiLoop mesh, I'm not aware of anyone here that has it because it is mostly used in reconstruction. There are many ladies here that have acellular dermal matrix (ADM), like Alloderm or Strattice. They are used in a similar way to support under the implant, around the implant to provide more thickness for rippling. DJ2012 is one of our mods and she has Strattice.
