Started Laser Hair Removal Last Week

Finally!
Ok,so I eventually want to have my whole body done, but I thought I'd start at the top and work my way down.

I started with the treatments for my face/neck/whole back/whole arms.
The experience I've had with my facility and specialist has been top notch so far.
They're using the latest technology on my unwanted hair. It's called the Alma Soprano Super Hair Removal laser. It's the one that's approved by the FDA as virtually pain-free.
It's "pain-free" in that you're not on that table squirming, crying,& suffering. There are moments of discomfort, but it's totally bearable, as far as uncomfortability goes.
Like on my arms & back there were moments when I'd feela prickly sensation & then heat- not burning heat (you have to tell the aesthetician if you feel that happening! ) ,but it feels kind of like when an iron or straightener has just been turned on & it's starting to heat up...it's def a weird sensation, but tolerable!

The face is much less uncomfortable. You don't feel any heat, but you do feel the prickly sensation. Again, weird but totally tolerable. You can also sometimes smell burning. My aesthetician told me they call that the " smell of success " lol
I've only been to 1 treatment & I haven't had to shave. There's a little hair starting to grow ou5,but it's hardly noticeable. Usually after 3-4 days of shaving,it would all start growing out again.
It's early in the process, but I can already tell it's working on me. Totally worth the $$$money & 40-min drive every 6-8 weeks

I've been going for 2 1/2 years (I go every 3 months for torso/face/Brazilian/arms and every 6 months for legs). It has worked beautifully and the BeST beauty decision I've ever made. I'm almost done...I go in now just for an occasional hunt for a stray hair. my hubby loves loves loves all my smooth parts

I have done 6 underarms (over about 8 months) and like 12 brazilian (over about 3 years). Absolutely LOVE the results! I need to do more underarms. The brazilian I just do 'maintenance' here and there but I can't say enough how happy I am with the results!

I started out with laser treatments for legs, bikini, and underarms, but not long thereafter went to waxing, and couldn't be happier with the result. The second aesthetician I saw was honest and told me that laser can work for some people, and others not so well. It depends mostly on the pigmentation of your skin and color of your hairs, as well as addressing all three (yes 3!) growth cycles of body hair. Additionally, many aestheticians who offer laser hair removal will intentionally tune down the intensity of the machine because there is no incentive to complete treatments for you and leave you hairless. On the contrary!... they are incentivised to keep you as a client for as long as possible - offering you treatments every few weeks for years. There are no such concerns with waxing, and as my aesthetician told me, after repeated treatments, the hair will no longer grow, and she was right! I no longer have to get my legs waxed... hairless and smooth as silk! I get my underarms and bikini area waxed about every 3 months still, since I didn't start my bikini area when I started my legs. If however you feel comfortable with your aesthetician and the laser treatments you are recieving, that is what is important. When you start waxing it hurts like a B***H~!, and the bikini area brings tears to your eyes. The pain factor with laser is much less, so if pain and comfort are an issue, laser may be a better choice. Just my 2 cents! ; )

I had laser done 5 years ago for underarm, upper lip, bikini and peri✌️A. Love love love the results! I completed 7-9 treatments (had to skip a few lip due to tan skin in summer), but overall just have rouge hair.

If I knew it would work on my legs I would definitely get it done, but it's mostly blonde.

treatment 3

i have had 2 treatments already for armpits and brazillian. Love love love the results, they anticipate only 5 treatments. I was virtually hairless after the first one, no shaving required except a few small ones that may or may not of been a different growth cycle. Everything is so smooth, its amazing, and not having to shave or have uncomfortable rash like razor or ingrown hairs in the bikini area is so nice. No regrets, should of done it sooner.

I'm almost at the end of my journey. I have 1 treatment left for my face & 2 left for my arms/back. I've really liked my results so far. I'm not completely hairless. But the hair rhat grows in is not as much, not as thick, not as quick to grow in & not as noticeable. Definitely a step in the right direction!
I'd probably have another go at my arms & cheeks. I have nothing growing out of my chin anymore & virtually nothing on my upper lip. Very food results on my back as well- almost completely hairless.

My next spots will probably be my armpits & lower back.

I have been wanting to do a full body laser treatment, but do yall get different sections done at the same time or do yall split each section of the body for different visits? And weren't you nervous about a laser hitting your face? The thought of getting laser hair removal on my face scares me lol

I had it split up, did bikini (Brazilian) and legs/thighs and finally arms, face etc. It's a pretty time consuming procedure so depending on what areas you're going to get done, it might be a good idea to break it up.

I split it up because my place has a "buy 2, get 1 free" on-going special. It can be time-consuming & it's not cheap, so I'm slowly working on my main problem areas. I would eventually like to get it all done.

Yes, I was nervous about it all- pain factor, sensitivity, effectiveness, cost, time, possible dangers.
I will say the 1st time I got my face treatment & the lady put my goggles on, I could still see the laser's red glow even with my eyes shut & covered. But she said it's completely normal & ok- it's not near your eyes or pointed at them, you just sort of get the reflection. Another thing: you start smelling burning. She says it's always a good thing- that means it's destroying hair follicles by burning them away! Lol
The face procedure has been a lil uncomfortable these past 3 times bc I believe she increased the intensity bc I'll feel prickly sensation right away & it kinda hurts sometimes - it's just uncomfortable.
Very satisfied with the results. I have 2 back/arm sessions left & 1 face.

I am now definitely considering this. I grow hair evveryyywherrree. Thick, dark, and fast growing. It is so embarrassing. Would be nice to start doing things without worrying about the hassle of shaving. I think I'd be so much more free and happy in life.

Yesss. It is so gratifying not to have to worry about this on a day-to-day basis.

I'm latina- the fuzzy kind. Lol I'm a little bit more lighter skinned & so my coarse black hair is very noticeable. Unlike my sis who's darker-complexion but has less hair & it's thin.

The goal is to do my whole body. It's expensive so I'm taking it in steps. It's worked fantastic on my lower arms & upper back.
Next step for me is my lower back, forehead, & bottom legs!

What areas did you get done? I agree;as far as cosmetic procedures it's been the best thing I've done.

breathwork will become famous soon enough breathwork will become famous soon enough
I had my Bikini area done 6 or 7 years ago and never had to go back again. I am beyond thrilled with it and so glad I did it. My skin there is soft as butter, looks just like the underside of my fore arm, so soft and smooth.

I keep saying I am going to go do my under arms and legs and still haven't, I am fair and not very hairy so it doesnt bother me so much. But really ladies if anyone is considering, my bikini area is the best thing I've done.

I do know you need to go somewhere good though because yes the technician can turn down the settings to keep you coming back and light pigmented hair will not be read by the laser. Best tip for me when I got my bikini done was the lady spoke with me about shape I wanted to keep, I was ready to take it all off. She convinced me to keep some for a couple of reasons ( and truth be told you could always go back and take more if you wanted to later) - one reason was that as we age, we sag down there too, some hair will help to disguise that a bit and that some men may prefer to have some hair - I guess I am a bit older and that would be true - in a younger woman that may not be a concern due to things being so different now. Regardless we really should do what we want to do and not to please anyone but our selves. ---- Sorry that was a lot of information.

Arm pits and all my lady bits. Even the back end area. There's nothing left. Not even a landing strip. And that was probably the most painful area of them all. I dunno about you ladies but I actually have a line that's a little darker in skin tone in that area. The laser goes off of pigment be it hair or skin so when we got to that area my bestie had to turn down the laser because it was a bit too strong due to picking up that extra pigment in my skin.

I definitely recommend it! Even though the cost was rather high, it's for sure one of my best investments

I plan on going sometime for under arms, brazillian and legs. Seeing some ladies say they've been doing a few years, does it always take so long?! I know it takes 6 or more treatments to hopefully get it all. How far apart are the treatments spaced?
