Juvederm Lip Injections - Help!
Hi guys,
I just wanted to know if anyone has had lip injections before? I just got Juvederm in my lips today and I look like a duck! How long does the swelling last? I'm so upset. The bruising is bad too! How am I going to go to work tomorrow? I look sooo weird. My lips are uneven and my upper lip sticks out a lot. I'm never doing this or anything else again!
Any encouragement, experience or advice would be great.
Thanks!

Did you try ice. I thought that i read that it can last a week..
Remember the movie first wives club when Goldie Hawn had her lips done..
Put light lipstick on them to knock them down . More nutral, not glossy..
Wish i could help...

I thought about saying I had an allergic reaction! Great idea. Well I will tell the guy I'm dating that story if it's still bad next week. I have a huge trip to go on next week also, I hope this doesn't bring me down (it already kinda is). The bruising is better today, but I found a better way to describe myself now "platta-puss" (sp?)! HAHA Well at least I can laugh at myself for this one. I tried concealer and it looked less noticeable - Thank you for the advice! So you heard this duck look can last around a week?

I had Juvaderm in my lips one time, and I bruised up really bad. I put ice on it the first 24 hours for the swelling, and then I put warm compresses on the black and blue marks. That allowed the blood to break up and go away quicker. Just keep doing it. Not too hot though, be careful not to burn your mouth! Just run a washrag under very warm water and wring it out well.

Danini your lips look awesome!! Juvederm?? Great results!! Any west palm beach girls out there have PS or derm you'd recommend for fillers (lips, nl folds, etc)?? I've used two practitioners in the past for Botox and fillers...always looking for the best one out there. Any suggestions in the west palm beach area?? Thanks!

Actually they look awesome!
Keep icing...your swelling will go down and you are going to love those lips.
The more you have it done the longer it will last.
I was getting mine done every 6 months .....now I have them done every
year and a half..
No kissing for you for 4 days and you shouldn't massage them....my doctor strongly discourages that...you can actually move the product ....very very gentle pressure.

I have had this done thrice!
love it!
twice juvederm, once restylane...
the swelling seemed to go away faster the first two times... but then again, i waited one year between those, and only about 4 months between my 2nd & 3rd time!
All in all, swelling/pain lasted up to 3 days, some mild discomfort thereafter...
as for pricing, i paid about $400 for the first 2 times and got a half-off deal on the third
i am liking the restylane better than juvederm... seems to give a more pronounce effect, whereas the juvederm seemed to not be so noticeable after a couple weeks...
just my humble opinion, though!
