How to hide swelling and bruising
Hi JBI beauties,
Long time, no see! It's great to be back!!
I'm getting round two of fillers tomorrow at 3:45 (or like 6 with my doc's chronic tardiness). Last time I did bromelain and one other natural remedy for a week before to reduce swelling and bruising, but this time I didn't have the time to do that to prepare. I'll have a Benadryl afterward and ice, though.
To combat swelling and/or bruising I bought an opaque lipstick. Between that and foundation, what can I do to lower the freak show factor as I have to go to work the next day? I appreciate any advice as last time I got a small purple bruise on my lip and mouth.

Update 4 hours post-procedure
So, I got two small bruises on my lower lip. No different from last time, only this time I didn't do the arnica and Bromelain several times per day (what a hassle) for two weeks leading up. I'll update if anything changes.
This time I used twice the numbing cream which caused me to choke on my own saliva, which was really attractive and uncomfortable for about five minutes but then made the procedure not hurt at all! I was totally laughing at what a goober I looked like, choking and gagging, but I'd do almost the same amount again to get the pain-free procedure!! I had to ask for extra cream... Just hope they won't remember my choking fit so they'll let me have more cream hahaha! I also bled a LOT.... Gosh that sounds horrible but I'm already happy with the results: I now have 1 full syringe, a luscious lower lip and the fullness without abject fakeness in my upper lip. I love the fake upper lip look but I just don't have the guts to rock it yet! Maybe someday? Who knows! All I know is that I got the look I was going for back in November when I got the first half syringe put in. Yay!! Can't wait to see the final results for Mother's Day!!!!!

I've never had lip injections, but when bruised my lip, this stuff was a lifesaver.

It really is great stuff. Just a tip, wipe the end of the wand on the inside of the tube to remove the most of the excess. It will set quickly once applied. Comes off easily with eye makeup remover.

Worked great!
It worked great on the bruises! They're getting better today and I look forward to having no bruises soon.
My little fur baby is doing okay, she has terrible allergies that need children's Benadryl and a steam while I'm in the shower. Takes more time than I usually spend on mornings!
From selfies I can see that my lips were super swollen yesterday- yes, selfies are important! I just thought they looked big but in actuality they looked like wax lips, hence my boss freaking out, but they just look sexy today. Cover-up and lipstick is all I need not to look scary now.
