I've always heard silicone lip injections r a no no. The silicone is very difficult to take out of the lips & can cause permanent scarring. If ur looking for a permanent lip aug then I would try the lip implants which come n different sizes. That's what I'm looking into instead if getting juvederm every 6 months.

I have the PermaSil lip implants and honestly it wasn't painful at all. They give you one heck of a dental block before they insert the implants and even afterward it wasn't painful. The stitches in the corners of my mouth were annoying for a week though! I have before and after pics in my albums. I did a small implant, I didn't want fuller lips than what I had, but it did help to reshape them and it prevents me from puckering too hard so it's preventing lip lines as well!!

Artefill is supposed to be permanent, some doctors will do it in the lips, some won't. It's meant for filling in lines I believe.

I've heard of gore-tex permanent implants as well. They're supposed to be the latest and greatest.

I wouldnt do silicon in the lips, too unpredictable and if you want it out you have to cut it out. I would try either a fat transfer but unfortunately only about 30% of it remains or the permasil lip implant.
